📚Happy #worldbookday2020! Travel back to the 1890s and read about the concept of ‘literary prosthetics’ in the transatlantic production of Robert Louis Stevenson’s writing. Check out @peedieg's title here! bit.ly/2yIZqSh #literature #robertlouisstevenson

This woman is a complete hero, as courageous as she is persistent and persuasive. In years to come, when a free Palestinian state sits alongside Israel and Netanyahu sits in a cell in the Hague, she will no doubt be awarded the Nobel Prize she so deserves.
If you hear any words today. Let them Be this. @FranceskAlbs speaking truth to power. As the United Nations Special Rapporteur, here she is passionately condemning the global community's silence and lack of empathy for the Palestinian people. United we stand 🕊️

Very happy to have a new article in the 40th anniversary issue of @WasafiriMag on #futurisms. Looking at the #paratextual infrastructures of the @commapress 100 series, I explore how these speculative anthologies work as formal experiments in futurity. tandfonline.com/doi/full/10.…

Not again! I have NOT given my permission to be used in political adverts. This is NOT an endorsement by me in any way. I maintain strict party neutrality and am unhappy at the weaponizing of my reputation in this way. While this isn't as bad as the first terrible representation – which said it this about tax - there's still a misdirection. As I’ve already stated, in that private conversation I was referring to Labour hoping to make a positive change I’ve been campaigning for, but it didn’t want to lock it in the manifesto as it can’t promise to deliver. NO party’s manifesto tells the full story. ALL parties have things they hope to do but that aren’t in manifestos – as they can’t guarantee to deliver. The idea that Labour is an outlier for that is preposterous.
Labour's manifesto doesn't tell you the full story. 14 hours to stop the Labour supermajority.

Everyone knows Labour are going to win the election, but if you’re feeling like there’s no point in voting as the outcome is a foregone conclusion, I’d like to draw your attention to something really radical that is on offer tomorrow: 1/8

I see the UK government has, under pressure finally had to reveal the cost of sending a refugee to Rwanda. £1.8 million per person. For that same cost of ONE individual an entire refugee processing centre could be built and staffed in France solving the boats problem overnight.
