My brother and our cousins, who are Palestinian-American, were pulled off the airplane and held by airport security & police at the Minneapolis, MN (MSP) airport last night on their way home from a wedding and were not allowed to leave after questioning because a White woman (pictured below) on board "felt scared" and told the airline my brother and his friends were suspicious for taking turns using the bathroom and claimed they made a bomb threat directly to her.
My brother and cousins were speaking in Arabic and English and wearing Palestine necklaces. They are all in their early 20s.
In addition, security took several other Arabic speaking & Muslim passengers off the plane for questioning and held them preventing them from leaving as well. They were all racially profiled and treated as suspect.
After about an hour, security and police realized there was no basis to the woman's claims and they she was lying and so they sent everyone home. They refused to give my brother the name of the woman and refused to allow him to file a false police report against the woman.
The police told my brother to just go home and there is nothing to report on, "it's a she said, he said situation".
But this woman put my brother, our cousins and Arabic speaking passengers in danger. Anyone on the plane could've reacted to her allegation and became violent, even pulled out a gun on them or caused panick.
He, our cousins and the other Arabic speaking passengers were treated as suspect because they are Palestinian-American and this is without a doubt the result of mainstream corporate media dehumanization of Palestinian victims in Gaza that are being targeted by incessant Israeli bombs. Since October 7th the media has helped manufacture consent for Israel's genocide in Gaza that has killed over 20,000 Palestinians using US supplied bombs by parroting Israeli talking points that portray all Palestinians as subhuman.
We still don't know this woman's name and would like help identifying her.
