A massive tornado tore through the eastern part of Illinois on Thursday, June 11, leaving a trail of destroyed homes and widespread damage in its wake.

Lake houses go up in flames after a massive explosion. Investigators say a suspected propane cylinder failure sparked a fire that destroyed two Pennsylvania homes and damaged others. Bystander video captured one of the blasts as flames tore through the Elk Lake properties. Firefighters said the explosions were powerful enough to shatter windows. Preliminary findings indicate one 100-pound propane cylinder may have failed, leaked, and ignited — setting off other cylinders nearby.
