Intriguing that it's now a TOS violation to share the live location of someone but of course its okay for Twitter to SELL live location information to Twitter advertisers for targeted ads?
Congress not only voting to impose a contract that rail road workers REJECTED but also failing to provide those workers with a SINGLE sick day is beyond infuriating and disgusting. We stand with the rail road workers and condemn Congress’ betrayal of working class people.
ALT a five-part tumblr post by users jude eduartes, true stories about me, and bisexual shakespeare. i have added a guilty gear character to each part. it now reads as follows.
May (GGXX era): i hate how reward systems never work for me like i can’t just say “if i finish this assignment i can have a cookie” bc my brain is like “…..or u could just have one right now” and i can’t argue with that logic
Bridget (GGXX era): Self-imposed deadlines don’t work either because I know the guy who set them and he’s full of shit
Bridget (GGST era): This is going around again, so I should say, I was wrong when I wrote this. Actually, I know the *girl* who set them and *she’s* full of shit
Ky (GGST era): Congrats on the gender. Get well soon with the executive dysfunction
May (GGST era): #she procrastinated her gender
The IRS is warning Americans that this tax season they must report payments on Venmo, PayPal & Zelle of over $600.

The Pentagon just failed its FIFTH audit in a row, as they were unable to account for 61% of their $3.5 trillion in assets. $800 billion annual budget.
Look I'm not saying this to knock Hive, but this shit is *HARD*
The fact they didn't even understand the fact that username uniqueness is an important question?
BIG HECKING RED FLAG.
So .. I'm not surprised to see this.

Software development is difficult. There's a reason I don't trust "smart devices" in general.

Both of these are just from today.
Both are nothing unusual in terms of discovering horrible vulnerabilities.
It would cost $688 million to provide 15 days of paid sick leave to rail workers and prevent a lockout that would cost the economy $2 billion a day. Buffett is the owner of BNSF Rail and is worth $110 billion. This is not philanthropy. This is corporate greed.
The Respect for Marriage Act does NOT require states to allow same-sex marriage as is held under Obergefell v. Hodges.
It also does not prohibit states from taking steps to ban or restrict same-sex marriage if Obergefell were overturned.

everytime the media blames the railway workers for the potential economic impact of a strike, they're taking the responsibility away from the railroad company execs who could avert a strike by conceding to the reasonable demands the unions are making like getting 7 paid sick days
ICE accidentally posted the names, birthdates, nationalities and locations of more than 6,000 immigrants who claimed to be fleeing torture and persecution to its website on Monday.

I work 6 days a week, 311 days a year. If I work into my off day when I get up, I may be lucky to have 14 hours to myself. I come home at all hours of the day or night and sometimes have to eat in the dark, so I don’t wake my family. Railroaders just want a better quality of life
If RR workers are so essential they may be stopped fr striking by a self named ‘pro labor’ president then surely sick leave, which should be the right of every American worker, should be theirs as well.
HOW TO BUY A GOOD CASHMERE SWEATER 🧵
I want to address this comment left by someone in response to my Brick Watch Company tweet. It also gets into something I've been wanting to talk about: how to buy a good cashmere sweater.
Why it's a big deal that 1/6 rioters have been convicted for seditious conspiracy: it cements 1/6 as an insurrection.
That has 14th Amendment implications for lawmakers who participated.
ALT Screenshot of 14th Amendment, section 3. "No person shall be a senator or representative in Congress, or elector of president and vice-president, or hold any office, civil or military, under the United States, or under any state, who, having previously taken an oath, or as a member of any State legislature, or as an executive or judicial officer of any state, to support the Constitution of the United States, shall have engaged in insurrection or rebellion against the same, or given aid or comfort to the enemies thereof."
As a proud pro-labor President, I'm reluctant to override the ratification procedures and views of those who voted against the agreement.
But in this case – where the economic impact of a shutdown would hurt millions – I believe Congress must use its powers to adopt this deal.
