You can finally say this without being canceled: AI isn't creating a Cambrian explosion of apps, if anything it's holding app creation back. Earlier tech waves had 'the mythical man-month'. Our generation has 'the mythical AI engineer' who magically turns enormous token usage into equally enormously-adopted products. Well, where are the apps and new businesses then? Because compared to prior cycles (e.g. the mobile app boom starting in 2010 or so), right now seems positively sterile, app and UX-wise. Other than Claude or ChatGPT itself, name a new app you use now you weren't already using five years ago? It's a truism of tech that throwing more people and time at a product often results in only lack of focus, confusion, and yet more code to support. This is the parable of the company that over-raised and over-hired and grew too quickly, and now has lots of mediocre, weakly-adopted products, internal communication problems, distracted leadership, code bloat, technical debt...and so the spiral begins, which ends with an apologetic CEO post after some layoffs announcing "we're refocusing on our core customer". Every tech company announcing they're either lowering token caps or shifting to lower-priced models is essentially saying: "we o̵v̵e̵r̵-̵h̵i̵r̵e̵d̵ over-spent on tokens, and are scaling back to focus on our core product" blah blah blah...same same. It's the corporate version of someone using AI to write a long email, someone else using AI to summarize it, and both sides would have been better off just writing a shorter email. But now, even small companies can have that same problem thanks to AI. I refuse to believe that an LLM prompt is the teleological endpoint of human interaction with computer intelligence. The fact we've apparently recrudesced to CLIs, like me farting around with RedHat 7.1 in 2001, feels like a step back. Another world here has to be possible, and while I have every faith (as someone as deep in AI psychosis as the next person) that AI can help get us out of it...just racking up tokens costs isn't how we get there. The AI Jesus isn't coming to save us, human taste, discernment, and radical re-invention will. Like Kafka wrote in his notebooks: "The messiah will come only when he is no longer necessary; he will come only on the day after his arrival; he will come, not on the last day, but on the very last.”
Massive output uptick due to agentic AI. Complete flat adoption.

Above all else, the PC is a symbol of autonomy, of self reliance—a rare idea in the 21st century. But, the PC needs to evolve. Though maybe past the point of simple "evolution", or incremental changes. No. The PC needs to be totally, and completely, revolutionized...

God you conservacon grifters are so predictable. Last year Iryna was the “tipping point.” This year there’s nothing left of her but some vandalized murals. “Tipping point” means “we only have to do a little and God will do the rest.” Atheists and Christians concur: you are GAY

Always strive for excellence. A civilization that teaches its young to surpass their ancestors in virtue, courage, wisdom, and beauty ascends. One that teaches them to despise or ignore their ancestors has already begun its descent into oblivion.

I outline the god Poly in my writings. Poly being the many. I have even taken the X handle "polymorphos", multi-formed. Many faces. Though, Polymorphos is an epithet for Dionysus. It has come to my realization—perhaps I have always known—that the Poly might well be called Dionysus. That which I have labeled as Poly, was prior to my proper understanding of Dionysus. My infatuation with him as a symbol of chaos, of dramatic life-affirmation; this idea was borrowed from Nietzsche. The Greeks, in their greatness, created a god. And this god, Dionysus, is the same god as Poly. I created Poly, to spur a surge of growth, of cultivation. The Great Scattering, the great planting. Dionysus, god of vegetation. No? Poly as my modern name for the ancient god, the heir to Olympus, the to-be king of all the gods (in Orphic tradition). Quite characteristic of Polymorphos, Dionysus, to take on yet another epithet. Yet another form. So be it. I accept Dionysus as Poly, as I accept him as Polymorphos. And in a healthy twist of fate, Nietzsche is crowned as the first Dionysian Accelerationist since the Ancient Greeks. The first true worshipper of the god Dionysus; I the first true worshipper of the god Poly. Sly Polymorphos! To believe in dio/acc, to affirm the Poly, is to affirm Dionysus. Dionysus of the many masks: Dionysus as Indoletes, slayer of Indians; Dionysus as Bromios, the roarer; Dionysus as Dendrites, he of the trees; Dionysus as Khoreutes, the dancer. Accept life in all of its forms, even those which are dark, and "evil". Affirm creation and destruction. To destroy, requires convictions. Convictions belong to the individual. One of my convictions, is to accept variation. By this, I mean accepting the creative instinct, and the destructive one. This is the Fourth Conviction in my work titled "Convictions". Now I know... Poly, Dionysus. Dionysus, Poly.

(Far Star Labs = Ixia.) Ixia can best be described as the arrow. Dancing along the bowstring, Ixia propels itself backwards, back to the Ancients. Though, not as a dramatic return, rather, the drawback. Ixia creates the necessary tension, to then propel itself, and with it, humanity, into the future. An arrow of the Present, drawn all the way back to an ancient Past. To smell the freshness, the purity, the zest which the ancients possessed. But we can not hop off of the string, hard as it may be. We are not rushed in our ascent, as the further back, and the longer back we stay, the more the bowstring wobbles. The higher the tension created. Let us weep for years! Let us explain to our ancestors, what it is we plan to do. With the proper blessing, we can exit the Past, and fly over the present, into an unknown. This unknown being the Future. What footprint does Nars Golan, creator of Ixia, hope to leave on this world? Imagine a new kind of people, separate from this world. A people obsessed with quality, with excellence. A civilization which again hangs that glorious, golden saying above their heads: "αἰέν ἀριστεύειν καὶ ὑπείροχον ἔμμεναι ἄλλων" (Ever to excel and to be superior to others) From the greatest tension, that of the bowstring, can we create a world that creates, that rises above the rest. A world that truly excels. And, dio/acc is woven deep into the foundations of Ixia. Therefore, the success of Ixia is the further proliferation of dio/acc. Perhaps on the way towards the Future, Ixia the Arrow can pierce the monster, Mono. And some of his subordinates. Perhaps on the way towards Oblivion, Ixia the Arrow can shatter those life-deniers. No longer should man negate anything from the whole. That which is whole, is whole. There can be no true separation. In this way, Ixia is the truest form of "paradox". Ixia, solitary in its standing. Ixia, accepting of the whole.

When he was 17, Napoleon's gaiety excited great jealousy among his fellow officers. He recalls his 1st love with Mlle du Colombier: “We were the most innocent creatures imaginable; [...] it will scarcely be believed that all our happiness consisted in eating cherries together.”

What good is it to live without your predator? Is it not the reduction of those things which make us squirm and fear, that has made us tame and lazy? How can we ever learn to run fast without a beast running behind us? Shouldn’t we wish our hunter grow faster, so we too can?
