He started distancing himself from her and frequently made excuses to stay out of the city. The young woman assumed it was likely due to work pressure, but the actual reason was something else entirely. Later, when the young woman became pregnant, Javed forced her to undergo an abortion. Then, one day, when the young woman called Ajay, the call was answered by someone who identified herself as ‘Parveen’ and stated that the number belonged to her husband, Javed. The young woman was left stunned. The ‘Ajay Yadav’ she had married was, in reality, Javed Khan—a married man from Bahraich, a father of three children, and a private driver. When the victim confronted Javed about the matter, he admitted the truth: that he was indeed Javed Khan, and that Parveen was his wife. Following this confession, Javed told her that if she wished to remain with him, she would have to convert her religion and adopt a non-vegetarian diet. When the young woman refused to do so, he resorted to physical violence and attempted to kill her.
