Aaand just like that stranger things in over. It may not have been a perfect final season but the finale reminded me of why it inspired me to start fiction writing. It’s a bittersweet goodbye to some content that bookended and in many ways defined my 20’s

yc ended a few weeks ago our group office hours didn't during yc, 9 startups met every 2 weeks to share what was working and what wasn't. it was basically group therapy first week, we set ambitious goals for the next 2 weeks 2 weeks later, almost none of us hit them so we did it again. every 2 weeks, same pattern end of the batch, almost none of us hit our overall goals but what actually happened: we all grew massively. built products customers loved and raised millions the lesson stuck w/ me: aim impossibly high, if you miss the target you'll still overperform what made it work wasn't the goals. it was the honesty some teams pivoted. some rebuilt from scratch. some had weeks where revenue went down but nobody hid it. we showed up, admitted what wasn't working, asked for help one thing the YC partners told us: 12% of our batch will become billion-dollar companies I looked around and had this deep sense: a big part of that 12% was sitting right there if I had to bet my entire net worth on any group of companies, I would put it all into this one YC is over but we're meeting again next Monday. and monthly after that at our final batch meeting, we set ambitious december goals. monday we'll find out who made them. I bet many won't. but we'll set new goals for january and keep going I want to stick with this group until we all IPO shoutout to my co-founder @maebert at @hyperspell and our group partners @tomb and @greybaker who brought us together and believed in all of us from day one monday, we find out who made their december goals I already know we're all going to win anyway
