From the famously left wing @TheEconomist : “The British right wants a world in which criminals are put to death; where “millions must go”; where pogroms are the inevitable result of a country in which white people are now second-class citizens. It is increasingly clear what the likes of Mr Farage and Mr Lowe are selling. The hope is that British voters will not buy it”

One shining light on this hellsite is Emma, whose informative and well researched debunks are essential reading given all the misinformation floating around. She’s well worth a follow.
Today isn't a debunk as much as a pre-bunk! We know the narrative that will inevitably follow this story on the front page of today's Telegraph - but particularly amongst the millions who will only read the headline and not the paywalled article 🧵 1/6

Why am I getting Tom of Finland vibes from this picture?
He wanted to look tough. He posted a painting of himself surrounded by oiled-up shirtless men in tiny shorts waving pompoms. Safe to say this did not land quite the way he intended.

Has @Nigel_Farage personally sued Ben Habib yet? Has @Nigel_Farage reported his "hacked" phone to the proper authorities yet? Has @Nigel_Farage answered how his girlfriend afforded that house in Clacton yet? Has @Nigel_Farage settled on a lie for that £5 million yet?

Nigel Farage and his Speculative Security Things we know: 1) a few weeks ago, the Guardian dropped a smouldering grenade into the Farage campsite with their revelation that he had 'forgotten' to declare the paltry sum of £5M, given to him by Chakrit Sakunkrit [Christopher Harborne] — Thai businessman and crypto magnate. 2) Farage regularly 'forgets' to declare income from his myriad jobs outside Parliament. In the last reporting period he 'forgot' 17 outside jobs totalling around £385,000. His excuse. “I don't do computers”. 3) there are already donations and gifts missing from his last register update — see @OneFinanceGuy for more on that. Things we've been told: a) the £5M was an unconditional gift. b) the £5M was a reward for Brexit. c) the £5M was to pay for his security — for life. Let's focus on the security aspect because, I believe, Farage is trying to construct a counterfactual and has been caught lying. Again. In October of 2025, Zia Yusuf, Satan's Head Boy, was sent cross all media outlets — and I do mean all of them — to talk about the government's removal of some of Nigel's security costs; up to 75% if you believe Yusuf. What has never been made clear about this claim are, one, if it actually happened, and two, if it did, what sums of cash were being forfeited? There are two videos below. One in which Zia Yusuf took to 𝕏 on October 1st 2025, in a very earnest fashion to make claims about his best friend's safety where he stated at one point, that if Farage was killed, he would blame Keir Starmer. Yikes! He talks about donors stepping up at that point to cover the security costs for Farage. The second video is the one which contradicts Yusuf. From BBC Newsnight earlier this month when Farage states that he was given the £5M back in 2024 as: “an unconditional, non-political, personal gift. And it will ensure I can be safe for the rest of my life.” So. Two things are clearly jumping out at me from these statements. Firstly, lies are being told by Yusuf and/or Farage. Secondly, in the BBC video, he makes the claim that the 'gift' is non-political but to protect him … as a politician. To me, this is definitive proof that he's lying about the donation. If he received this money in 2024 for a lifetime of private security, then why the need for 'donors to step up' and pay for it again in Oct. 2025? Which is it? Neither, I'd suggest. I think the entire thing is a shonky counterfactual, hastily cobbled together to cover up the fact that he's been caught out pocketing millions in undeclared donations. Thanks to @jim_nauseum2 and @chris_spencer04 for the video and nudge, respectively. I have supplied a new branch of questions that our broadcasters can put to Reform UK MPs. I hope that they do. Have a lovely sunny Friday. ☺️

TIL that the right are actually in favour of shouting and swearing at women in public, and against jury trials. Who knew 🤷‍♂️

You do have to give credit where it’s due: whoever surgically removed Matt Goodwin’s ability to be self-aware really did an excellent job.
Andy Burnham doesn’t care about the people of Makerfield. Andy Burnham only cares about himself.

At yesterday's Unite the Kingdom rally one speaker said: "It's not too late to get Islam out of that building (Parliament)" "It is not to late to get Islam out of every single official office in this country" "It is absolutely vital, if we want to save this country, we have to remove Islam from every single place of authority" If these comments were directed at British Jews, they would rightly dominate headlines nationwide, because antisemitism is wrong. Anti-Muslim rhetoric should be treated with the same seriousness and scrutiny.

Matt Goodwin, the king of consistency …
Replying to @GoodwinMJ
Much of this is nonsense, but your outrage about digital ID and jury trials might have a little more substance to it had you not been taking money (was it £10k/month?) from an Orban regime that had digital ID (and facial recognition) and no jury trials. Just saying …

While it would have been hilarious to have Matt take a second loss, it really is time for Zia Yusuf to put his money where his mouth in and stand - on the condition that if he loses he shuts up.
Whoever stands in Makerfield for Reform, I & every other Reformer I know will be up there as much as we can helping to bring Andy Burnham down to earth & hand Labour ANOTHER defeat in its own backyard. Trust me, Burnham is not as popular as he thinks he is 👍

In March 2019, Boris Johnson said on a live radio interview that investigating historic child sexual abuse is “spaffing money up the wall”. In July 2019, Johnson appointed Jenrick as Secretary of State for Housing, Communities and Local Government. As Housing Secretary, Jenrick was a loyalist, but faced intense pressure over the approval of a development for a Tory donor. Johnson stood by him, stating he had “full confidence” in him. “Honest” 😉 Bob Jenrick has himself faced repeated accusations of wasting or misusing public money. As Immigration Minister, he visited the Northeye site in November 2022 and led the rushed acquisition of a heavily contaminated former prison in East Sussex. The Home Office purchased the site for £15.4 million in September 2023 after Jenrick announced the plan in March 2023. The National Audit Office later criticised the deal as rushed and misjudged. In 2020, it emerged that he had claimed more than £100,000 in taxpayer-funded rent and council tax for a constituency home in Newark that he appeared to use infrequently, and he had to repay invalid mileage claims. As Housing Secretary, his department launched the Towns Fund in 2019 and faced criticism in October 2020 for allegedly biased allocations. His own Newark constituency received £25 million from the fund. Other controversies, such as the Richard Desmond/Westferry planning approval (where he unlawfully fast-tracked a decision, saving the donor around £45m in levies before admitting apparent bias and reversing it), involved potential loss of public revenue (e.g., to Tower Hamlets council) rather than direct waste of existing funds. “Honest Bob” has often positioned himself as an opponent of government waste, but these cases are clear evidence of hypocrisy during his ministerial roles. It is nearly always projection with these selfish, manipulative, opportunistic bullshitting clowns.📽️
Streeting, Burnham and Rayner are pissing your money up the wall.

So - he launched a complaint against Coutts in JUNE 2023, because he didn’t have the required £1 million invested in the bank (having paid off his mortgage). And then lo and behold in MAY 2024 he pays £1.4m IN CASH for a property! Where did the money come from?!!🤔

The fact that there’s more noise about Zack Polanski not paying some council tax on a narrow boat, than there is about Nigel Farage taking a £5m bribe to run as an MP….confirms that it’s pretty fucking impossible to have functioning democracy AND a billionaire owned ‘free’ press

Yesterday Keir Starmer announced Labour will nationalise British Steel and save 2700 jobs. The Uni of Nottingham put 2700 staff at risk of redundancy. This is just one university. Across the UK 15,000 higher education jobs need saving. Where is the rescue package for our universities? Cities and towns will be devastated by these job losses.
