Everybody plants for butterflies and bees, but not many folks are planting for the graveyard shift. There are far more species of moths than butterflies, and more pollination happens after dark than most people realize. While you sleep, moths are out working the garden. Feed the adults with pale, fragrant flowers that open at dusk. Evening primrose, native phlox, yucca, and native coral honeysuckle are all favorites. Yucca is especially remarkable: its flowers are pollinated only by yucca moths, and those moths depend on yucca in return. Feed the caterpillars too, because caterpillars are baby bird food. Oaks host more moth species than almost any other North American plant, and native cherry, willow, birch, and spicebush are all excellent hosts. And the single best thing you can do costs nothing: turn off the porch light, or switch to a warm amber bulb. Artificial light at night disrupts moth navigation and behavior. Plant the flowers, dim the lights, and the night crew shows up in droves.

Prof. Theodore Postol: ‘NO CHANCE Israel’s brutal, immoral strategy of killing Iran’s nuclear scientists can stop Iran’s nuclear program.’ ‘There have got to be tens of thousands, if not more, of these Iranian nuclear scientists. You can’t erase cultural capability. All societies have vast numbers of people who are extraordinarily capable, some of whom are in positions where they’re working at it and some of whom are in subordinate positions who can take over if someone else is killed. You have people with great talent everywhere, and when you have a society that’s under threat, all of a sudden political differences become irrelevant. Your society is under threat and you do what you need to do to protect your country. That’s what happens. And you can’t kill everyone. You’d have to kill tens of thousands of people. You don’t even know who these people are. So if you have people modifying and running these centrifuges and you kill them, there’ll be others who come beneath them, who have been mentored by them, who have been around, who have studied. There’s no way to kill enough of them to stop the programme. This is just a bizarre approach. I don’t think what the Israelis have done has any chance of working. It’s just a brutal, immoral strategy which, unfortunately, has been the way Israel has conducted itself over the last few years. maybe earlier than that if you’re anti-Zionist, but certainly in the most recent years, certainly in the last five or ten years, especially with Gaza. The Israelis have been totally out of control. They have a messianic group of people who would have been considered brutal 5,000 years ago according to the culture then, living now, who somehow think that there should be something like a Greater Israel.’ —Former US Chief of Naval Operations Adviser at the Pentagon Prof. Theodore Postol Watch the full interview in the quoted post below👇
🚨NEW EPISODE OF GOING UNDERGROUND⚡️ Prof. Theodore Postol Explains Why Israel Could Use NUCLEAR WEAPONS in the War on Iran Why will the US & Israel fail to destroy Iran’s nuclear program? Why is the risk of Israel using nuclear weapons against Iran a real threat? How quickly could Iran make a nuclear weapon if needed? All this and more on this episode of Going Underground with Prof. Theodore Postol, former Chief of Naval Operations Adviser at the Pentagon.

All you need to know about Jay Solomon, the Likudnik media minion who most recently attempted to criminalize Trita Parsi
Jay Solomon, the author of this smear piece, was fired by the Wall St Journal after he was exposed for doing business with a CIA arms trafficker, Farhad Azima Solomon served as a middle man between the UAE and Azima on a $725 million contract to spy on Iran Solomon’s work with the Free Press, an Israeli propaganda cutout, appears consistent with the sordid activity that saw him use legitimate journalism as a cover for lucrative spy dealings But it’s also more pathetic, as he’s been reduced to criminalizing a young American woman, Calla Walsh, for antiwar activity that clearly falls under the First Amendment protected speech

Capitalism didn’t end history—it intensified its contradictions. If it truly won, it wouldn’t need rising surveillance, deeper inequality, and constant crisis management to hold itself together. Read the full article on Substack: futuredude.substack.com/p/th…

Every surveillance power ever enacted to "catch only the bad guys” has eventually been turned against ordinary citizens, journalists, and political dissenters. We cannot allow our government to enter this advanced technological age without serious and effective guardrails on mass surveillance.

If universities across the US had listened to the student protesters demanding divestment from Israel back in 2024 instead of brutally cracking down on them maybe the genocide in Gaza wouldn't have matastasized into full-on ethnic cleansing in Southern Lebanon and a war on Iran that's sent gas prices to $4.50 a gallon.
🇱🇧 Israeli Attacks on Lebanon- June 13, 2026 Israel intensified its assault across Lebanon on Saturday, with at least 7 people reported killed and several others wounded in attacks across the south. Lebanon’s Health Ministry said this morning that Israeli attacks have killed 45 people and wounded 149 over the past 48 hours. Airstrikes, drone attacks, artillery fire and ground operations targeted dozens of locations across southern Lebanon and the western Bekaa on Saturday. Incidents, as reported by L’Orient Today: 🔹 A drone strike killed Mohammad Trad while he was visiting his father’s grave in the cemetery in Maarakeh, a village near the southern coastal city of Sour (Tyre). 🔹 An Israeli strike at dawn killed 2 people in Kfar Rummane, near the southern city of Nabatieh, while rescue teams continued searching for possible missing persons. 🔹 An Israeli airstrike on Ansar (photo), in the Sidon district of southern Lebanon, killed Saleh Ali al-Masri. A separate strike between Ansar and the neighboring village of Sinai wounded several others after destroying a house, while later Israeli airstrikes also targeted nearby Kouthriet al-Rizz. 🔹 An Israeli drone seriously wounded a Lebanese Army soldier near Nabatieh in what the military said was a double-tap strike, first targeting him near Al-Najda Hospital before striking him again as he fled on a motorcycle. 🔹 A drone strike landed near emergency workers from the al-Rissala Scouts and the Islamic Health Committee as they inspected damage in Seddiqine, forcing the rescue team to withdraw. At least 133 medical workers have been killed in Israeli attacks on Lebanon. 🔹 Israeli strikes killed the current and former mukhtars of Rihane, a village in the Jezzine district of southern Lebanon. Mukhtar Ali Badih Hussein was killed when a missile struck his vehicle, while former mukhtar Ismail Abdallah, an employee of the state electricity company, was killed by a drone strike outside his home. Additional airstrikes reportedly forced the village’s remaining families to flee. 🔹 Israel ordered the evacuation of 24 villages across the Nabatieh, Jezzine and Sidon districts, ordering residents to head north of the Zahrani River. 🔹 According to local reporting, Israeli warplanes struck 24 southern Lebanese localities on Friday, while drones targeted six localities and intensive artillery fire hit 19 others. 🔹 Israeli warplanes and drones today struck or shelled Ansar, Baraasheet, Kfar Tebnit, Rihane, Seddiqine, Toul, Kfour, Majdal Zoun, Deir Zahrani, Qalawieh, Nabatieh al-Fawqa, Zibqine, Kouthriet al-Rizz, Aramta, Khiam, Tiri, Srifa and several other villages across southern Lebanon, while artillery fire also targeted the western Bekaa, including the outskirts of Qlaya and Zilaya. Heavy fighting had continued overnight around Kfar Tebnit, Arnoun and the strategic Ali Taher hills, where Hezbollah said it repelled an Israeli ground advance as warplanes, helicopters and artillery pounded the area. The Israeli military claimed it killed 7 Hezbollah fighters in southern Lebanon over the past week. Lebanon’s Health Ministry said Israeli attacks have killed 3,756 people and wounded 11,632 since March 2. 📸 Photo: Ansar

If you take your hummingbird feeder down early in fall because you're afraid you'll keep the birds from migrating, relax. You're not keeping anyone. Hummingbirds don't migrate because food runs out. They migrate because the days get shorter. A change in daylight triggers hormones that tell them it's time to go, and they go, full feeder or empty. You can see it in the timing. Adult males leave weeks before females and young birds, while flowers are still blooming and feeders are still full. Nothing about your feeder can talk them out of it. What your feeder does in fall is the opposite of trapping them. It fuels the late ones: young birds making their first trip south and migrants passing through from farther north. For them, a feeder is a gas station. So leave it up until about two weeks after your last sighting. Keep the nectar fresh and clean, and let it help the latecomers.

This is a documented pattern that repeats case after case: Highly trained teams of federal agents target vulnerable people - often isolated, struggling, and/or mentally ill - then hand them a full “terrorist plot,” the weapons, the cash, and nonstop pressure to carry it out. Once the target takes the bait, the agents arrest them for the exact crime the government manufactured. It delivers scary headlines, easy convictions, and bigger budgets. The threat was never real. It was invented by the agencies that “stopped” it. That is the textbook definition of a racket. We need to immediately ban manufactured-plot entrapment. Prosecute agents who are doing it. And stop rewarding the FBI for creating the very threats they are supposed to be preventing.

Israel flattened Beirut in 1982. No Hamas. No Hezbollah. No October 7 to point to then. Just 17,000 dead Lebanese and Palestinian civilians. Even US president then Ronald Reagan, who armed Israel, called Begin furious after seeing a photo of a 7-month-old baby with its arms blown off and said “It is a holocaust”. They killed so many innocent people that the survivors had no choice but to pick up weapons. Then Israel had the audacity to keep using “Self-Defense” excuse every decade. Israel didn’t stumble into endless war. Israel built it. Brick by brick. Own it.

The predicament Trump is in, and has been since he started the Iran War with Netanyahu, illustrates why it was so stupid and destructive to start this war in the first place. From the start, there were only two real options: 1) Take seriously all the stated war aims and try to fulfill them, which would require a protracted, self-destructive, devastating, years-long war of the kind Trump spent a decade vowing to avoid, or, 2) End the war quickly and prematurely, and then have to scurry around to find some way to claim that the US "won", which would -- at a minimum -- force Trump to credibly claim he got more than Obama's JCPOA gave, thus justifying all the massive bloodshed, instability and cost from the war. If reports are correct (and it's a big "if"), Trump is choosing option (2). But his case that he actually won anything consequential beyond what the Obama Deal provided is close to laughable, while the losses to the US (and wins for Iran) are self-evident.
