Love is that liqueur sweet and most divine, Which my God feels as blood; but I, as wine. George Herbert, The Agonie

Conservatives need to be careful in their insistence that God is male, lest we undermine the very basis on which we distinguish the human sexes. There’s only one irrefutable, fact-based way to argue for the human sex binary: males are humans whose bodies are organised toward the production of small gametes and females are humans whose bodies are organised toward the production of large gametes. God, of course, cannot be male in this sense. Designating God a “man” (rather than a “woman”) on the grounds that He (a) has some traditionally masculine traits, or (b) asks us to call him “He” and “Father,” risks undermining the very grounding conservatives need to preserve the human sex binary. After all, what are we going to say to the trans man who has some traditionally masculine traits and asks us to call her “him”?

Perhaps he misunderstood what Farage meant by illegal alien...
Reform councillor Kieran Lay getting straight to the issues that really matter: UFOs. YouTube conspiracy rabbit holes and social media algorithms have melted so many brains that the sludge is now leaking directly into our political landscape.

Do you think he misunderstood what farage meant by deporting aliens?
This is what people voted for...fucking hell :D Bizarre moment Reform Councillor Kieran Lay, Thorne and Moorends Ward, asks Full Council for measures to monitor UFO activity as part of reopening Doncaster Sheffield Airport. Step 1- Work towards cutting council tax. Step 2- Set up a panel for UAP sightings. Couldn't make this up... #doncasterreform #reform

I'm going to state an irrefutable fact. People will reject it and some people will admit it to themselves but not publicly. The primary reason the Conservatives are opposed at present is because of what came before and not what it is currently. Vast swaths are cutting their noses off to spite their face upset that true Conservativism was neglected under previous leaderships in the past. The Conservative Party is irrefutably in the control of the most solid Conservative leader the party has had since Margaret Thatcher. We have an opportunity right now to bring Conservativism back to the top of the United Kingdom. Nigel Farage is not a conservative. He is only interested in his own finances and control. When push comes to show his more left leaning economic and social policies leaked out like an overfilled septic tank. Everywhere that Reformer have taken power they have added to the problems and not solved problems. Even yesterday, Nigel Farge fell to pieces in a BBC Sussex interview where he was confronted in terms of his health care and carer policies which he doesn't have a grasp of, relying on his control of the press to make sure these car crash interviews never come out. It was one of the most glaring defeats he has ever had in a balanced interview. He literally had no answers to the most sensitive and important policies areas that were proposed to him. This country needs to change. But putting it in the hands of a man with no leadership experience of a country whose appointments have comprehensively failed at every role they have been handed over the years is a disaster waiting to happen.

Hey @Morrisons I will never buy ONE thing from you ever again unless this guy, trying to stop shoplifting, is reinstated. RETWEET IF YOU AGREE
A Morrisons store manager says his life has been completely 'devastated' after he was sacked for confronting a repeated shoplifter.  Sean Egan - who had worked in the Aldridge Morrisons in the West Midlands for 29 years - was escorting the shoplifter out of the store when the thief turned aggressive.

And why does @BBCNews who have a journalist in Iran never mention these hangings which are happening most weeks @bbclysedoucet
Today, right after the call of “Allahu Akbar” at dawn, the regime in Iran, placed a noose around this young man’s neck and kicked the chair from under his feet, so he would struggle, suffocate, and die. Yes this is happening in 21st century. They executed him because he went to protest with empty hands and said he wanted freedom. His name is Amirali Mirjafari. He was only 22 years old. They called him a “leader” of the protests. But they never said when he was arrested, how he was tortured, or how he was tried. Because everything was done in silence, a silence enforced by threats against his family. They imprisoned him in silence. They tortured him in silence. They tried him in silence. And they executed him in silence. Dozens of protesters have been executed the same way. Yet many political leaders in the West, who suddenly worry about “international law”, after a military strike against Ali Khamenei and members of IRGC have not said a single word about these barbaric killings. Why? Why is there silence when young civilians are hanged for demanding freedom?

I am still shaking from a soul-crushing Uber ride today in Dublin. It started with "Where are you from?" I said Iran, and the driver's face lit up as he thought he'd found a partner in his hate. He looked at me and said, "It must be crushing what the f***ing Israelis are doing to your country." The moment I pushed back, the moment I told him the truth, that I support Israel and want to see the regime in Iran fall, he erupted in pure rage. He began screaming about his uncle's high rank in the IRA, glorifying terror as a "success story" to justify the total erasure of Israel. To be trapped in a car with that level of brainwashed vitriol, being shamed and attacked for defending the Jewish people, is a burden I can't describe. Being Iranian is so incredibly taxing. You spend your life fighting the regime that destroyed your home, only to have strangers weaponise your identity to justify their antisemitism. To my Jewish friends: I see the hate you face. I will never stop standing with you, no matter how much it costs. 🇮🇱🦁☀️

🚨Green Party Leader Zack Polanski Wants To Build A Society That Doesn’t Include Anyone From The Right “There are people who identify as right wing or even far right… Do we think we can change their minds or is it a case of building a society that doesn’t include them?” What the hell does Zack mean by this? Tell us @ZackPolanski what do you have planned if you ever get into power?

Helen Roseveare, a missionary who faced intense suffering and persecution during her 20 years of service in the Congo, shares one of the times that she saw God answer prayer in a most unexpected way: "I went to have prayers with our orphanage children as I did every day, and any of the children wanted gathered around me for prayer time, and I'd give them different things to pray about. And this particular day, I told the children of this tiny baby and asked them to pray for the nurses that they would stay awake all night to keep that baby warm. If the baby got cold, it would die. I mentioned that the baby had a 2-year-old sister who was crying because her mommy had died. I mentioned the burst hot water bottle. During prayer time, different children prayed for different things, and then one little 10-year-old girl, Ruth, she prayed in the usual blunt way of our African children, 'Please, God, send us a hot water bottle. Now, God, it'll be no good tomorrow. Send it this afternoon. Now, if it comes tomorrow, the baby will be dead.' I'm sort of swallowing hard, and she said, 'While you're about it, God, would you send a dolly for the little 2-year-old sister, so she'll know that Jesus really loves her?' And that afternoon, the parcel came. It was the first parcel I ever, I've been out there four years, I'd never had a parcel from home. And despite the fact I live on the equator, somebody packing that parcel had been prompted by God to put in a hot water bottle, and a child from my Bible class at home had put in a dolly for a little girl. And it came that afternoon in answer to a 10 year-old child's prayer, and the amazing thing was, you know, that parcel had been on the way five months to get to us. It had left England in July, and it came that afternoon, cause a child prayed."
