Gilbert Arenas explains trying to scout for young LeBron in their playoff battles:
“It makes no sense when people say he’s not a scorer…. We had to scout. We played them in the playoffs 3 times. We’re sitting there looking ‘alright what’re we gonna do? We’re going to cut off all of his passing. Let him score 50.’ He scores 50 and still has the same assist. ‘Ok, let’s just make him a passer.’ He had 14 assists, and still 30 points! It’s like what are we dealing with here?”

Gilbert Arenas tells story of hanging out with a young LeBron at his house and realizing how smart he was:
“I remember when I first watched him, at your guys house. He was watching different games. I study people. He’s watching and he’s like ‘oh turn that one on.’ And I’m like yo, he studies everything. He’s consuming all information. Young people don’t do that. He’s like a f*cking iPhone here. He’s just consuming. He knows a soccer player in high school, this person out of this country.”
