This resonated with me as we are fighting many of these same/similar elements within our own country and society.
People want to paint others with a very broad brush "America doesn't support us" or "Ukraine doesn't deserve USA support". Every single day, there are thousands of these conversations taking place using very wide terms to put everyone into a single bin. The truth is very complicated because people and societies are complicated, of course.
Let me share something with you (and it's not a secret), every country has these same problems - flawed, selfish, mean, corrupt, greedy, cowardly, clueless...etc.
We're all fighting for the "good" in people to outnumber the "bad" in people. That's the hope for humanity - that a thousand small victories of "good" will blossom into a crop that bears fruit for others. We mustn't let the weeds of hate or corruption overwhelm the harvest of goodness that we want to share with others in a better, peaceful society.
Those are ideals without boundaries. Everyone should figure out how to be agents of change - with random acts of kindness, a kind word, a "thank you", an apology, or helping and doing something decent out of selflessness. That's how we all can be better - while we're fighting the good fight - which must be won.
