"What does GEO stand for?" will be in many a 2026 quiz. In the same way SEO was a whole new industry, so will GEO - will all the associated job opportunities etc. AI isn't all or only downsides for job opportunities... (See also: Prompt Engineer) linkedin.com/news/story/geo-…

One of the better articles on what AI is likely to lead to in organisations: x.com/i/status/2004654686629… << "Jevons paradox is coming to knowledge work. By making it far cheaper to take on any type of task that we can possibly imagine, we’re ultimately going to be doing far more."

I once played Jesus at Easter. True story.
An interesting corollary of this: People's incomes in later life are closely related to the role they played in their school nativity. Joesphs end up being paid more than £20k annually than donkeys and sheep

But today is my last day after ten years at NHS England, leaving me this one last opportunity to check the teaspoon situation at HQ. I hope @HSJnews can find a new teaspoon correspondent soon.

I'd love to say I'm surprised resident doctors have voted to go on strike despite the clear threat of harm to patients at this specific time. But I'm not. The claim "patients are the heart of everything we do" is sophistry. medium.com/@rich_w/were-here…

Probably not the first to say it, but the waiting time / backlog situations in health and justice respectively are entirely analagous. I reckon the teams working on them in DHSC/NHSE and MoJ should get together! #PolicyTransfer

This is a positive tipping point. We may still have fax machines in bits of the NHS, but great work from the vast majority of primary care colleagues here! bbc.co.uk/news/articles/c4g4… (And bonus points @wesstreeting for use of "moaning minnies" to describe some BMA members!)

Gordon was right on the two-child benefit cap. Gordon was right on a gambling tax. Gordon is right about palliative, social and end of life care and the incredibly troubling assisted dying bill.
It is not too late to put the brakes on assisted dying, and focus on improved palliative, social and end-of-life care theguardian.com/commentisfre…

Entirely correct. I enjoy arranging meet ups at strange times. Always have to end in an odd number, tho.

This looks like a must read. Some great work at places like @IPPR on "relational public services" before as well.
