We run two wonderful schools in Scunthorpe - Oasis Academy Parkwood and Oasis Academy Henderson Avenue. So we are thankful to government for the huge steps they are taking to secure a more hopeful future not only for British Steel but for our children and their families.

As I got on the train at Scunthorpe yesterday I looked over, as I always do, at the British Steel blast furnaces. One of my favourite views and always reminds me of my dad. Thinking of my friends, family & everyone coming to terms with what this means for them & our town tonight.

🦾 UCNL is 1 of only 18 institutions in the UK with certain robotics and 3D printing equipment available to students. 🏛️ The listed building is home to a remarkable section of Roman road and the roof of the old council chamber inspired by the British Steel cooling towers. 2/3
