Here’s Sleeper on Top of the Pops in 1995 with Inbetweener, one of the defining singles of the Britpop era. Released that year, the song reached number 16 on the UK Singles Chart and later appeared on their debut album Smart. Written by Louise Wener and Jon Stewart, Inbetweener stood out for its sharp lyrics and bright, guitar-led sound, helping establish Sleeper as one of the most visible bands of mid-90s British pop television.

Little Scottish band that deserves to be much bigger in my opinion.
Saw them live in The Jacaranda in Liverpool and they not only put on an excellent show, but they are thoroughly good guys too.

Singer Wes Leavins has a full-on Morrissey croon, there is also a whiff of Elvis, Brandon Flowers and Hamish Hawk in there. An album full of brand-new retro songs. I adore it.
