Exactly 80 years ago, Anne Frank and her family were arrested by the Nazis and deported. This sad anniversary was marred by antisemites who painted the hands of Anne Frank’s statue in Amsterdam with red paint, along with the words "Free Gaza." Anne Frank was not Israeli. She was not a defender of Netanyahu’s government. She was not for or against Palestinians. She was a Jewish little girl who was killed along with her family because she was Jewish. Using her memory to protest a conflict that didn't even exist when she was alive is despicable and, yes, antisemitic.

call for their resignations.
At yesterday’s @EdWorkforceCmte hearing, presidents from America’s “elite” institutions refused to answer basic questions about the flow of foreign money into their universities. This is unacceptable and just another reason why the House must pass the DETERRENT Act, which brings much-needed transparency, accountability, and clarity to foreign gift reporting requirements for colleges and universities.

Astounding, shameful and so enlightening as to why campuses have become a hotbed of anti-Semitism. They should all resign.
The presidents of @Harvard, @MIT, and @Penn were all asked the following question under oath at today’s congressional hearing on antisemitism: Does calling for the genocide of Jews violate [your university’s] code of conduct or rules regarding bullying or harassment? The answers they gave reflect the profound moral bankruptcy of Presidents Gay, Magill and Kornbluth. Representative @EliseStefanik was so shocked with the answers that she asked each of them the same question over and over again, and they gave the same answers over and over again. In short, they said: It ‘depends on the context’ and ‘whether the speech turns into conduct,’ that is, actually killing Jews. This could be the most extraordinary testimony ever elicited in the Congress, certainly on the topic of genocide, which to remind us all is: “the deliberate killing of a large number of people from a particular nation or ethnic group with the aim of destroying that nation or group” The presidents’ answers reflect the profound educational, moral and ethical failures that pervade certain of our elite educational institutions due in large part to their failed leadership. Don’t take my word for it. You must watch the following three minutes. By the end, you will be where I am. They must all resign in disgrace. If a CEO of one of our companies gave a similar answer, he or she would be toast within the hour. Why has antisemitism exploded on campus and around the world? Because of leaders like Presidents Gay, Magill and Kornbluth who believe genocide depends on the context. To think that these are the leaders of Ivy League institutions that are charged with the responsibility to educate our best and brightest. On the bright side, our congressional leaders deserve accolades for showing tremendous leadership and moral clarity in their statements, by the questions they asked, and the respectfulness with which they conducted the hearing. It was a masterclass of how our government and democracy should operate. If you have time, please watch the entire hearing. Throughout the hearing, the three behaved like hostile witnesses, exhibiting a profound disdain for the Congress with their smiles and smirks, and their outright refusal to answer basic questions with a yes or no answer.

absolute madness.
Am I hearing this right? The Presidents of MIT, Penn and Harvard are saying that calling for THE GENOCIDE OF JEWS, is a violation of code of conduct, DEPENDING ON THE CAUSE AND EFFECT? You mean an action must take place for it to be a violation? I can't believe what I'm hearing!

thank you and may we all pray for peace. for all. ♥️
I have to say something right now because I won’t be able to live with myself if I don’t. For years, I spoke up for the people of Palestine and their right to self-determination and to live in peace. For years, nobody cared. For years, Iranians have spoken up against their terrorism and brutality at the hands of the IRGC. For years, nobody cared. For years I had felt we shared the same unnerving struggle, which is the world’s indifference to the loss of our lives. Over the past week, however, I’ve seen something that I’m ashamed to say I had never seen before and I can’t believe what it took for me to see it. When Jews are murdered, the world is not just indifferent. Instead, the world rejoices. It celebrates. This is a type of depravity no people should ever have to endure, especially given the barbaric history of persecution since time immemorial. To the Jewish community, you are my brothers and sisters. I am so sorry that I let you down. I am so sorry that you screamed about it for years and I didn’t hear you. I am so sorry I didn’t stand up with you. I am so sorry I pretended not to see the flagrant and hateful anti-semitism. But my eyes are open and I see you now. I hear you. I’m with you, and I promise to never let you down again.

it's that simple.
I'm extremely concerned with what I'm seeing in Canada over the past 24 hours. Video footage of pro-Hamas 'celebrations' in Mississauga - and in other places throughout the GTA - are simply heartbreaking for me to watch as a proud Canadian and supporter of Israel. This isn't freedom of expression. This is a repulsive and avowed support for terrorism and the murder of innocent civilians in our own backyard. You can show support and empathy for the Palestinian people without celebrating the murder, rape and torture of Israel civilians. Shame on all those involved. Your support for this cause goes against every Canadian value. I'm saddened that larger 'demonstrations' like this will be taking place in Ottawa today and in Toronto on Monday. I sincerely hope that law enforcement will have a strong presence and that they won't hesitate to use the full force of the law, if necessary. This isn't my Canada. #cdnpoli #IsraelUnderAttack #IStandWithIsrael
