Are you interested in the Free Church of Scotland (Continuing)? Introducing FCC Standards, a digital library for exploring the FCC's Constitution; 3,950 Acts of Assembly (more to come); principles (including the Free Church Catechism and the Practice of the Free Church); worship; government; and history. The app includes an AI Query feature for research within the corpus, as well as full-text search; an easy-to-use document reader (no scans, all are fully OCR'd); a browser for the Acts by year and period; source references for citation checking; and a clean, mobile-friendly interface. It was designed to help office-bearers, applicants, and newcomers to the Free Church to learn more about her. The lectures were delivered by office-bearers at various Colloquia and Family Conferences. They have full-text transcripts, which are also used in answering questions. You can also watch the lectures on the site.
I field many questions about our denomination; perhaps this will help those who want to explore the church.
"But Jerusalem which is above is free, which is the mother of us all." (Galatians 4:26)
This is an early look at the project. More to come later.

And last, but by no means least:
Editor Romesh Prakashpalan (@romeshp) writes:
"Before he signed the Declaration of Independence, John Witherspoon was a thirty-year-old minister in the Church of Scotland.
In 1753, he anonymously wrote this withering satire on the Moderate Party, then ascendant in the Presbyterian Church. Ecclesiastical Characteristics is a satirical manual, instructing Moderates how to trade the Confession of Faith for the polish of a fine gentleman.
In it, Witherspoon condemns the Moderates in their own voice. It is an enjoyable yet sorrowful must-read in a day when churchmen are likewise tempted to follow the Moderates’ playbook."
Mormons are not monotheists. That needs to be pressed. Christians believe in one God.
Thus saith the LORD the King of Israel,
And his redeemer the LORD of hosts;
I am the first, and I am the last;
And beside me there is no God.
(Isaiah 44:6)
Is there a God beside me?
Yea, there is no God; I know not any. (Isaiah 44:8b)
The Creeds that they reject merely state Biblical truth. Mormons are pagans and need to be converted. They “must be born again”.
The Creeds and Confessions exist to maintain the honor and glory of God among men, to protect the Church from heresies, and to promote the unity of Christian people. The very reason cultists and heretics despise them.
The Mormon dustup going on is great. May it expose more to the wicked (and frankly, moronic) nature of this cult. I pray Mormons have their eyes opened & come to a saving knowledge of the truth. Mormons: turn from Mormonism, & to the only God & his gospel. He is gracious.
"Ho, every one that thirsteth, come ye to the waters, And he that hath no money; Come ye, buy, and eat; Yea, come, buy wine and milk without money and without price."
Isaiah 55:1
Ask them what the consequences should be for homeschooling parents who fail to educate children. Then ask what the consequences should be for public schools that do the same.
The difference in answers is the game.
"Then I went to the Meeting House to hear Mr. Gilbert Tennent preach, and never before heard such a searching Sermon. He went to the Bottom indeed, and did not daub with untemper'd Mortar. He convinced me more and more that we can preach the Gospel of Christ no further than we have experienced the Power of it in our own Heart. Being deeply convicted of Sin, and driven from Time to Time off his false Bottom and Dependencies, by God's Holy Spirit at his first Conversion, he has learned experimentally to dissect the Heart of a natural Man. Hypocrites must either soon be converted, or enraged at his Preaching. He is a Son of Thunder, and does not fear the Faces of Men."

Free App - The Letters of Samuel Rutherford. Link in the body below. Just released today. In the time I have used it myself, it has been a balm to my soul. Enable notifications in the settings to get a reminder to open the daily letter. Easy to forget you have it, otherwise. There is a narrator as well (AI generated) to help you listen in the background if you want your device to play the letter for you.
I intend to submit the Android edition by the end of the week to Google. Thanks to Sean McDonald for the idea. Andrew Silva, Nick Schoeneberger, and Jazmyn Baker were initial testers. Thankful for their help!
Please add honest reviews to make it more 'discoverable'. I don't make any money off the app, I don't mine user data, and I don't sell anything to advertisers. It is purely for edification, and I believe that many souls will find the healing balm of Christ through these letters.

Some sins are unnatural and are therefore more heinous. So, yes, SSA is worse than lusting after the opposite sex. It is against nature (Romans 1:26-27). WLC 151 says that if a sin is against the "light of nature" (citing Romans 1:26-27), it is more heinous.
