Sometimes the little extras make the difference in getting the line or not getting the line. This not a how to. These are some tips and tricks that people have taught me over the last 2-3 years, and that I teach to residents. All additions, corrections, and comments welcome!

Vents are still difficult for me. There’s lots of physics and numbers and my brain just does not naturally work like that. I’ve been working through vent details lately, and I thought I’d share some basics. Corrections very welcome—I’m still training my brain in this stuff.

Requiring medical trainees to assemble in groups for exams during a pandemic poses unnecessary risks to the health of these trainees and to the health of our entire community. Examinations must be conducted electronically, or they must not be conducted at all. 2/

I fell while making lunch for my children this morning. I’m okay. I got back up as usual. I can’t help but feel anger this time though. I am a #Polio survivor only b/c my parents were against #vaccines. Falling is normal to me but it didn’t have to be. 1/5

Our letter to the CMOH was submitted with 769 signers but we're now almost at 1000. Ford and Williams were obfuscating around the danger to migrant agricultural workers and now they are largely ignoring it. Please sign and share. x.com/ShailRawalMD/status/12…

The growing season is long, and we have already borne witness to the deaths of three migrant workers. We ask that the Chief Medical Officer of Health reverse his guidance that asymptomatic workers may continue to work. If you are a healthcare professional please consider signing.

Here it is. Plainly stated: we are prepared to accept the deaths of migrant farm workers in order to maintain the “integrity” of the supply chain and the profits of a few.

One of the most helpful pieces of feedback I received as a clerk was re language used in documentation (it wasn’t something I had previously given much thought to) - highly recommend this thread for anyone who will be writing patient care notes! Simple changes make a difference.
