Open discussion on terminology for AI markdown files. I feel "skills" are only agent-invoked where as "prompts" are user-invoked. This seems to be a pattern(?). Do people just use "skills" to refer to both though? Is @mattpocockuk's grill-me a skill or a prompt?

Eg, @vercel_dev's "skills" cli (github.com/vercel-labs/skill…) could arguably do instructions and prompts as well. Are we aligning on any markdown that LLMs use just "skills"? Does that give us enough precision?

iOS 27 framework references “foldState” and “angleDegrees” but I’m sure that’s nothing

I think maybe @Apple overdid the minimalism in my local store. A pick ups desk or signs wouldn’t hurt. Unsure if I’m cutting the line when I try find someone to help me etc.

I’m so upset about the new Ferrari. I was just about to buy one, too. Gosh darn. I’m definitely in their addressable market and I’m not satisfied. Grrr.

You can give your manager a performance review anytime you like. Talk to them. 99% of managers want to do right by their people. If you're respectful and trying to help, they'll listen. If they're the 1% who are company-sponsored assholes, no performance review will fix that.
Supervisors should also get a midyear performance review… from their employees…

🏳️Time to face obvious facts. iOS Dev courses are no longer viable income for me. I've been disrupted. I'm looking to join a team working on a cool iOS project (full-time or part-time contract). Remote. RT's are appreciated! DMs open.

I’d be more okay with being selective on iOS about what photos/videos are shared with apps if the UX didn’t suck. Today it’s so many taps to share a photo and have good privacy. I suspect most people share everything out of convenience. Fail?

That’s called remote code execution sir. Last I checked it was a vulnerability, not a feature
RESTful APIs may be dead soon. Instead, web services may expose a single POST entry point for a prompt. Internally, an AI agent may decide how to interpret it and what to do with the data and the database.
