I was supposed to chair the @hasanthehun discussion at SXSW this week, who's been banned from entering the UK by Shabana Mahmood. First of all, @sxsw must facilitate a way for Hasan and Cenk to contribute remotely, as a bare minimum refusal to comply with government censorship.

So you know what @bbcquestiontime did with Farage? They’re now doing it with AI. This ‘expert’ panel on AI is a disgrace: not one critical voice. Gilbert works for Tony Blair to promote AI. Jones is govt chief AI booster (& Blair flunky). Riparbelli is industry. Gawdat is ex industry. And for ‘balance’? A Tory MP. 1/

Tony Blair: Wow, get a load of AI. We should probably cut welfare somewhat. Also, we should be involved in the Iran War for some reason. Broadsheet columnist: Say what you like about the man, but the sophistication of his analysis is unparalleled.

We can’t address climate change without the working class. Matt Huber argues that an explicit political or rhetorical focus on the climate crisis itself may not be helpful in that effort. jacobin.com/2026/05/climate-

This is horrifying and barely getting media coverage. Trump set April 30 as a deadline for the Zambian Govt. They must either accept Trump's new health funding agreement to have access to critical AIDS meds—and thus give the USA expanded access to its precious mineral resources like copper, lithium, and cobalt—or let its citizens die due to lack of vital AIDS medications. Zambia is 98% Christian. Christians will die as a result of Trump's extortion. Notice how MAGA is wholly silent? Barbaric.

Important to be accurate on an explosive issue when most voters wrongly believe small boat crossings are rising and Reform and Conservative politicians want to keep people ignorant about what's really happening.
"Small boat crossings are still increasing" reports the BBC's flagship Radio 4 Today programme, wrongly. Editors could check BBC Verify, which reports they are down 35% year on year in 2026. The trend began Sept 2025, though crossings were rising 2022-25

This eye-witness testimony, on camera, is more evidence than we have related to 10/7 sexual violence. And there is far more evidence than this: medical reports, testimony from doctors and nurses, forensic evidence, and victim testimony also exists. That is the kind of evidence people have been asking for when it comes to 10/7. Instead, we get empty assertions and accusations of "rape denial" from the same people who will not say one word about the systemic sexual violence doled out to Palestinians in Israeli detention. Including by dogs.

Krystal Ball just read testimony from an Israeli detention center. 'They stripped him. A captain sprayed something on his backside. They unleashed the dog. The dog raped the young man. It raped him, literally speaking, raped' This is not a conspiracy theory. This is documented along with many other. This is what Israel does And because the victims are Palestinian Muslims. So you don't see any coverage on Western media. This is the reality of Israeli detention and media complicity

Obama and Trump like Zohran because Zohran is now a celebrity, and Obama & Trump first and foremost love celebrity. Zohran is utilizing his celebrity to seduce fame-worshiping politicians to help him normalize an actual policy agenda. It's shrewd - and enjoyable to watch.
