Thanks Glen! All fellow climate scientists here at COP28 agree with our point in the Nature article that current warming is about 1.3C - but the current draft Global Stocktake text incorrectly says โwarming to dateโ is 1.1C (based on 2011-2020 average)!!

The IPCC approach would identify 1.5ยฐC of warming "a decade after crossing the 1.5ยฐC level"
There are a multitude of approaches to give a more realistic & updated estimates of current warming.
