FULL INTERVIEW: Poetic Founder & CEO @markiewagner joins TBPN to discuss the company's $50M Series A, the "10,000 secret rules" that run businesses, and more. 2:23 - The 10,000 secret rules inside employees' heads 3:03 - Why AI needs to be at least 99.99% accurate 4:20 - Why Poetic started working with giant companies instead of smaller companies 5:27 - How Poetic extracts unwritten knowledge from experts 7:50 - Markie on the future of forward deployed engineers 9:47 - Why most enterprise AI deployments fail 12:06 - Markie's Stanford dropout origin story
Introducing @PoeticHQ: a new AI system that executes complex multi-hour tasks with 99% accuracy and 10x fewer tokens than agents. We raised $50M at $500M from Kleiner Perkins, Founders Fund, First Harmonic, and Genius Ventures to build AI that does complex work inside Fortune 500 companies without hallucination. While code is too brittle, agents are too unpredictable. The work that runs the global economy - anti-money laundering, fraud investigations, underwriting - needs extreme accuracy. So we built a new kind of software that pairs the flexibility of AI with the predictability of code. When the world stays the same, Poetic runs fixed code: fast, cheap, identical every time. When the world changes, Poetic uses AI to regenerate its approach and find its way back to the objective. In one year, we went from zero to an eight-figure run rate as a team of four. Since then, we’ve scaled the team and executed the highest-stakes processes at AIG, SoFi, and Chime. At SoFi, a large US bank, Poetic reached 99% quality on fraud investigations in five weeks.

It doesn’t get any more clear than this CBS affiliated local 12 news in Cincinnati, Ohio reporting the ICE protest demanding ICE be completely abolished is paid and organized 🚨 “Organized by the Cincinnati branch of the Party for Socialism and Liberation” The Party for Socialism and Liberation is funded by CCP connected billionaire Neville Roy Singham living in China He is the one funding the nationwide protests for ICE - Singham’s residence in Shanghai - His business ties are to the CCP - He attends CCP-related events - He funds media outlets echoing Chinese state narratives

It’s absurd that we’re going to have universal self driving cars but somehow trains that have a single degree of freedom require not one but two operators. Train agencies regularly run fewer trains than they have because of staffing requirements like this. Unsurprising bc this is a job no one should want. To everyone who complains about the low frequency on the T — this is why. We have the trains we don’t have the drivers. Automate the trains, run em at 1 min frequency, build more dense transit connected housing, and everyone will benefit, including workers from the abundance of new opportunities that will emerge. Some of the most labor-friendly places in the world already do this eg Paris. this is not rocket science.
New Yorkers deserve safety as the standard on every ride. Two-person crews on our subways aren’t just common sense — they’re essential.

The Golden Age is here: US GDP Growth surges to 4.3% in Q3, shattering expectations of 3.3%. Meanwhile, CPI is down to 2.7%, beating expectations of 3.1%. And with interest rates and taxes coming down, the table is set for an even better 2026. Thank you President Trump! 🚀🚀🚀

Kudlow is right: inflation is coming down, interest rates are coming down, and tax cuts are coming in 2026. These are the conditions for a Reagan-like economic boom. Just as important, we have an AI investment super-cycle driving an extra 2% of GDP growth. Democrats like Bernie Sanders have figured this out, so they are doing everything they can to sabotage the infrastructure build-out. Republicans should not be gaslit about this. As with Climate Change, most of the concerns have been amplified to hoax level.

Americans are more generous than ever. Adjusting for both inflation and population growth, real per capita charitable giving in the US has doubled since the 1970s.

Howard Marks just dropped a memo that clarifies the entire AI debate, defining the differences between two types of bubbles: Mean-Reversion and Inflection Bubbles. At Refinery Ventures, we are banking on this distinction. We are applying this "over-investment" in chips and models to healthcare, manufacturing, and logistics. AI isn’t just another tech wave — it’s a structural transition with real economic, social, and financial dimensions. While portions of the market may exhibit bubble behavior, the underlying transformation is undeniable. oaktreecapital.com/insights/…

I agree with @sapinker on the data: material abundance is undeniable. But we ignore the shadow side at our peril. From Covid-era overreach to the "Life of Julia" Obama vision of state dependency, we are seeing a Bernays-style engineering of consent. We are building a well-fed, well-medicated, monitored hive. The goal must be free citizens, not just safe subjects.

84% of teens describe the news media as "biased," "boring," or "fake." (AP News) This isn’t a crisis of demand. It’s a crisis of product. The legacy "Clickbait Model" optimized for outrage and speed. It treated the audience like metrics, not humans. The "New Media" model optimizes for trust and nuance. It treats the audience like critical thinkers. The kids are rejecting the noise. They are waiting for the signal. Long-form is the new counter-culture. apnews.com/article/news-medi…
