How often does admin say “we’re a tuition-driven university”? Now the univ’s made-up policy on intersession teaching has cost the univ a LOT of revenue & will cost them even more. It’s just 1 of the #arbitration cases, & it’s affecting morale & the Univ’s bottom line.

New AAUP salary data shows the average full time faculty salary increased 2% this academic year over last. With the pay freeze of just this year, the inflation impact for us is more like a 7% decrease on our base salary from last year to this year.
To put this another way: Scranton faculty have had their pay cut over the last two years in spite of taking on additional work to meet the demands of the pandemic.
