If the “confiscate Elon’s wealth” crowd win - who gets to spend it?! Please don’t let it be UK Gov. They spend that amount yearly and the country is declining on every serious metric.

Elon being rich affects me in absolutely zero negative way. Most SNAP recipients suck off taxpayers’ tit and provide nothing of value in return. Sure, Elon’s companies have received significant government support through subsidies, but much of them have been repaid, earned through contracts, or structured as market mechanisms. The net fiscal and societal return has been strongly positive (though I personally do support eliminating subsidies for every and all industries). SNAP, however, is a direct welfare transfer with no repayment or performance expectation. Your comparison is baloney.
Elon Musk is a trillionaire but it’s def the people on SNAP ruining your life

Can someone please explain it to me like I'm five, why members of Congress are more upset that Elon became a trillionaire than they are that Somalis have defrauded our government out of hundreds of billions of dollars?

To everyone whingeing and crying about @elonmusk trillionaire fortune - besides wetting the bed about it, what have YOU done in your life time to create your own fortune…? I’m guessing - fuck all.

In 2008, Elon Musk was broke, divorcing, and watching his rockets explode one after another. Three Falcon 1 launches. Three failures. Over $100 million gone. Tesla was days away from missing payroll. He was borrowing money from friends just to cover rent. This photo was taken after one of those crashes. No breakdown. No press conference. Just a man crouched in the wreckage, thinking about what comes next. He had enough parts for one more rocket. One last shot. The fourth launch worked. Days later, NASA handed SpaceX a $1.6 billion contract. On Christmas Eve 2008, Tesla's financing round closed in the final hour — or 1,200 employees would have gone unpaid two days later. He later called it the worst year of his life. He also never stopped. Next time you feel like quitting, remember the man sitting in that wreckage.

🚨 JUST NOW: Sen. Mike Lee comes out in FULL OPPOSITION to Democrats' plan to tax Elon Musk's net worth at 5% LEE: "It’s Elon’s money. He can use it as he pleases. It’s not yours. It’s not the government’s. Socialist impulses kill innovation and economic growth." 💯 What an INSANE proposal! These Marxists don't realize what a DISASTER a net worth tax would be, or they DON'T CARE. I'd rather Elon keep the money than a Democrat who gives it to fraudsters and pirates! 🇺🇸 @BasedMikeLee @elonmusk

Elon Musk is the richest man in the world — but not because he invested in others or won the lottery. He built his companies himself, from the ground up, and turned them into thriving, world-leading enterprises. Because of him — not luck or passive investments — millions of people have real economic security: stable jobs, new opportunities, and a future they can count on. Elon Musk isn’t just the richest man alive. He is a true national treasure — for America, for the global market, and for humanity as a whole. 🚀🌍

The government created over $37 trillion in debt. Yet people believe that if the gov’t only had Elon‘s trillion, hunger would be solved and everyone would have healthcare. Hard to get much more stupid than that.

Can someone explain this to me like I’m five? Why do some members of Congress seem more outraged by Elon becoming a trillionaire than by reports of fraud that have allegedly cost taxpayers hundreds of billions of dollars? Shouldn’t recovering wasted public funds be a bigger priority than criticizing someone’s wealth? Make it make sense.

I think possibly the best thing about Elon Musk becoming a trillionaire is how angry it makes a bunch of losers who've never built a thing in their lives.

Elon Must has a trillion dollars, and that is deeply unfair. If we could just be allowed to take his money, ruin his factories, melt his rockets down for scrap, burn his cars for heat, and force his hundreds of thousands of employees out onto the streets, humanity could finally rise to new heights of utopic equality and the world would become a workers paradise. Sincerely, the Communists.

Elon Musk is a creator. He creates products. He creates jobs. He creates wealth. The Left is a destroyer. They destroy every city they run. They chase jobs away. The only wealth they create is for themselves (politicians).

It's amazing how many people no absolutely nothing about horse racing. Most horses are treated and cared for more than most people. Are you going to cancel all human sports because of injuries and or death? I grew up in the sport, have seen so many beautiful animals. If there is no horse racing there are no need for the breed. It will be extinguished, due to the incredible costs of raising a horse. Most horses never pay for their actual keep, most owner barely break even. They are born to run, bred to run and lobe to run. Most trainers and riders hardly make enough to live and they work 16 hour days, if not longer. They care for the horse, train them and love them. Riders are out at 6am on the tracks and stay all day for the race and then have to care for the horse and tack. Very few jockeys are rich enough not to participate in everyday affairs. Before you judge, learn exactly what the sport is. The economy relies on it from, stalls on farms, food, bedding, vets, therapies, pharmacies, tack, blacksmiths, fencing and more. I can go on and on. The sport is a hard life and for the most part it is done by people who have a great love for that magnificent animal.
