Deutsche Bank´s latest updated DRAM model now suggests industry shortages could persist through 2028 and potentially beyond, despite multiple fab expansions announced over the last six months.
DB argues agentic AI is creating a new source of DRAM consumption that most investors still underestimate. As AI workloads become more autonomous, memory requirements shift beyond HBM into traditional DRAM and LPDDR, particularly on the CPU side. They highlight NVIDIA's Vera racks as one example, with DRAM content potentially 5-10x higher than prior GPU systems.
Overall it sounds even more optimistic and aggressiv on the overall memory cycle.
