If you're old enough, you will recognize this sounds and appreciate the spectrogram of a dial up modem handshake. The full video's caption reports a verbal translation/breakdown of the process [Full video, Scotty H: buff.ly/3zVFdom]

My wife, Michelle, almost stepped on this guy in the garden this morning. Didn't have anything in the foreground for scale but I'd say coiled up like this he's about 8" in diameter. Western Diamondback Rattlesnake.

I just posted a smallish programming job on Upwork. If you are (or know) a desktop Qt/C programmer, please hit me up. I’d still prefer to hire through my network than hire blindly on Upwork.

I’ve played Wordle (the real one) and it’s fun. But the biggest missed opportunity there, IMO, is that they didn’t put a link to the website in that tweet we all keep seeing. 🤷‍♂️ (And no I’m not going to start tweeting Wordle scores :)

Just finished up Counterpart. Spy thriller with a sci-fi twist. J.K Simmons does an amazing job! Related: Looking for new series recommendations.

Look, every time a giant space rock has catastrophically slammed into the Earth so far it has worked out great for me. Creation of the Moon, eradication of giant reptilian predators. I don't know what everyone is so worried about.
