He says he told officials: I’m not leaving until I know he’s okay. Then after waiting overnight… he finally gets inside. And the first thing they tell him? The man he came to see was gone. Moved at 2 AM. Read that again. A member of Congress shows up for an oversight visit… waits all night… and the detainee he specifically came to check on gets transferred before he can see him. Menendez says that detainee was helping organize a hunger strike because people inside wanted their stories heard.
