Murray responds, says Democrats will not accept a "gigantic war budget offer."
"I sent Collins an offer I thought was very good last weekend, Sunday night. I've not heard back from her, but I want a bipartisan process, that is what our job is and that is what I want to do, but I will not accept a lopsided offer."
New: Senate Majority Leader John Thune calls out Democrats for FY2027 funding talks falling apart.
Thune said he met with Senate Approps Chair Susan Collins last night to discuss the path ahead, as it takes Democratic votes to pass any approps bills.
"I think the Democrats' goal in all this is to create chaos as much as possible," Thune said, adding that Rs "haven't seen a lot of evidence" that Dems want a normal approps process.
