And she also went on the record with CNN so that hopefully this did not happen to other women and maybe it would help other women come forward. Eric Swalwell has taken a page out of the Trump playbook by attempting to silence women. Today we learned he is intimidating survivors, serving cease and desist letters on those coming forward with stories of sexual harassment and abuse.
He sent this threat in the dead of night — another attempt to delay the truth.
Deny the allegations. Question the women's motives. Suggest a conspiracy. This is what it looks like when powerful men get caught.
These cease and desists are a disgusting abuse of power against brave women who are courageously working together to share their stories.
It begs the question: if Swalwell has done nothing wrong, as his campaign claims, why not let the women tell their stories in the light of day?
Our team remains steadfast. We will not relent. The women will not recant. They continue to work with legal support to protect themselves while sharing their accounts of Swalwell's pattern of predatory behavior and abuse.
I am impatient. The women are impatient. But we trust this process. Their stories will be out soon.

We had a great meeting with some of the top leaders on housing in the state. I am promoting a California plan that would create 2 million housing units by utilizing the surplus property owned by school districts in every county of the state. This housing could help many including educators, nurses, firefighters, and working families. School districts need some predevelopment and technical assistance funding to complete the effort so we are looking for public and private dollars to support the work. @GiveDirectly has sent $1 billion in cash directly to people in extreme poverty. Their model has no middle man and study after study shows it works. Any billionaire could call them tomorrow and help pull an entire country out of poverty. For some, it would cost about a year in the stock market. I’m honestly baffled: why is there not a single billionaire who just makes the call to @NickAllardice, GiveDirectly’s CEO? Instead, they fund vanity projects and call it philanthropy. The solutions exist but the ambition is pointed in the wrong direction.

We organized this effort amd a live how to webinar as part of our strengthen literacy effort and invited experts who can help other students strengthen their writing. The students attend grades 5 through 12 and they were articulate, well written, and inspiring. Proud of our students, their educators, and their families.

Every day I watch the chaos in this country and think about how many people got it completely wrong on Joe Biden, especially Democrats and the media.
Democrats turned on him and bought into a manufactured narrative, while the press trashed stability, mocked experience, and helped normalize a convicted felon… and now act like none of it happened.
