Honored to earn End Citizens United’s endorsement. I’m ready to keep standing up for TX-33 and build a government that answers to the people, not the powerful.
🚨ENDORSEMENT ALERT🚨 We’re excited to endorse #UnrigWashington member @ColinAllred in his race #TX33. Colin has a strong record of championing Texas’s working families and will fight to put them first. We look forward to helping win in November.

The focus should always be on working families. That’s the message we’re taking into this election in November and the fight I’ll carry with me to Congress.

Dreamers are our classmates, coworkers, neighbors, and friends. Making college more expensive for them doesn’t make Texas stronger. It makes opportunities harder to reach. When I get to Congress, I’ll fight for a system that treats Dreamers with dignity and gives every Texan a fair shot. texastribune.org/2026/06/04/…

Republicans rigged the maps to silence our communities and erase our political power. But we refuse to let them get away with it.  It's time to pass a Voting Rights Act for the 2020s, fight back against gerrymandering, and demand the fair representation every American deserves. Our voices will not be erased.

This community has been counted out before. Last night, North Texas showed exactly what happens when people refuse to be silenced. I’m grateful for every voter, volunteer, organizer, and neighbor who made their voice heard in this race. Now it’s time to fight.

We have to stand up to Trump and the MAGA movement, but we also have to clean up our own house. That means: • Banning stock trading by members of Congress • Rejecting special interest money • And proving that we’re on the side of working people

Happy Pride Month, Texas. This month is about celebrating love, freedom and the courage to live openly as who you are. I’ll always stand with our LGBTQ community in the fight for safety, dignity and equal rights — not just in June, but every day.

Yesterday, I joined the Oak Cliff community to honor the lives of Marisol Pérez and her 18-month-old son, Erik Pérez Jr. No family should have to endure this kind of pain. As candles were lit and prayers were shared, I was reminded of the strength of this community and the love surrounding this family. My heart is with their loved ones, every neighbor still recovering and everyone grieving this devastating loss.

.@ColinAllredTX: I’m a civil rights lawyer by training and I have revered the Voting Rights Act of 1965. But I think it’s time for us to pass the Voting Rights Act of the 2020s.
Former Congressman Colin Allred joined me on #PoliticsNation to discuss the road ahead for Democrats in Texas, the growing battle over voting rights, and what is at stake in the fight for representation across the South. We discussed the Texas Senate race between James Talarico and Ken Paxton, the impact of redistricting on Black political representation, and the concerns many have raised about efforts to weaken the gains secured through the Voting Rights Act. Congressman Allred also spoke about the importance of engaging Black voters, the need for new leadership and new ideas, and why he believes restoring trust in government is essential to defeating cynicism and strengthening our democracy.

I’m heartbroken for the families of Marisol Pérez, her 18-month-old son Erik Pérez Jr. and Sylvia Collins, and for every neighbor injured or displaced by the tragic Oak Cliff explosion. Sylvia was a Dallas County Democratic precinct chair, longtime activist and tireless advocate for justice and equality. She spent her life showing up for her community, and Dallas is better because she did. We are grieving with Oak Cliff, and we will keep showing up for every family and neighbor impacted by this tragedy. dallasnews.com/news/public-s…

Absolutely embarrassing and insane thing for them to say aloud - Colin has *always* been a steadfast supporter of LGBTQ rights, even when it hurt him politically (the majority of Ted Cruz ads spent in the 2024 senate race attacked him for his support of trans kids).
Equality PAC co-chairs Mark Takano (D-Calif.) and Ritchie Torres (D-N.Y.) release a statement saying many in the LGBTQ community are "deeply hurt" by Colin Allred's decision to run for TX-33 and that he must "rebuild trust"

🎉Congratulations to @ColinAllredTX on his primary win in #TX33. As an #UnrigWashington candidate who has refused corporate PAC money his entire career, he’s committed to advancing commonsense anti-corruption reforms like banning congressional stock trading and getting rid of dark money.

Colin Allred is headed back to Washington. Tonight, North Texas voters chose him as the Democratic nominee for TX-33 and sent a clear message about the kind of leadership they want in Congress. A civil rights attorney, former NFL player, and tireless advocate for working families, Allred brings a proven record and a fighter’s heart to this race. Congratulations on this hard-earned win.
