Today, we announced that Kalshi will now require employment information in order to trade in certain markets. Market integrity is a more than just a lofty goal for us. It’s the reason we collect identification info from every trader, why we surveil our markets 24/7, and why we continue to expand our capabilities to prevent, detect, and punish misconduct. The work is never done, but we are proud to mark yet another big step today in leading the prediction market industry on the issue of integrity. news.kalshi.com/p/kalshi-mar…

“Kalshi alerted the Justice Department and the United States Commodity Futures Trading Commission about bets Santos placed…” - this is exactly how the system should work, @Kalshi identified the bad actor and turned him in to the feds.
Betting activity by former Rep. George Santos on the prediction market Kalshi has been flagged to federal authorities, according to a source familiar with the investigation. nbcnews.com/news/crime-court…

Excited to advise @Kalshi as they continue to dominate the prediction market space. They're one of the fastest growing companies in the US — and one of the rare tech platforms that take a regulatory first approach.

I've worked with dozens of electeds, CEOs, companies and causes to tell their stories and cut through the noise. The best way to tell a good story is to have one — and @Kalshi has a great story to tell. I and my @precisionstrat colleagues are excited to dive in.

Not all prediction markets are the same. Some are regulated in the United States. Some aren’t. Kalshi is. Rule #1: We ban insider trading. And we enforce it.

This makes sense, and we already do this. At Kalshi, insider trading violates our rules, and we enforce them when we catch insiders. It’s noteworthy that all the examples cited here happened on an offshore, unregulated prediction market. Government employees should be aware that trading on federally regulated markets using material non-public information violates the law.

The examples they call out on @SquawkCNBC (like potential insider trading on war in Iran) are happening on unregulated prediction markets, not on U.S-regulated exchanges. For the record, federally licensed prediction markets are a heavily regulated industry under the CFTC, with: - Protections against fraud, market manipulation, insider trading - Market surveillance - Know Your Customer standards - Age identity verification - Anti-money laundering procedures - No contracts on war or death
A bipartisan group of Senators creating the "Prediction Markets Are Gambling Act" aiming at limiting the platforms' reach. Authors @SenAdamSchiff & @SenJohnCurtis outline the details: cnb.cx/4bHypxl

I couldn't love this any more than I already do....every one of these kids dreamed of going to the NHL someday.
Thank you for all the kind words. It’s been an amazing Olympics. I’ll move on with a fun clip from history: 4th OT of Shamrock Tournament Final in Waterford, MI. Right after this diving save his team scored the winning goal. He’s been training for Gold for years.

USA women's hockey gold medalist @HilaryKnight describes her team's relationship with the USA men's team as one with a "genuine level of support and respect" that's being overshadowed by a "quick lapse." "Our achievements shouldn't be overshadowed by anything else other than how great they are."

I have a son who plays competitive hockey and I'm a huge fan of @usahockey, both men's and women's. Let's stop criticizing the men's hockey team - their gold medal win was hard won and heroic. Sure, Trump's comment wasn't funny, but it shouldn’t overshadow their incredible achievement.1/3

Actions also speak louder than a nervous laugh-the support and camaraderie these men’s and women’s teams show each other is the bigger lesson we want to teach our kids. I know some of you will come after me for saying this, but I frankly don't care. The anger at the men's team is just stupid.2/3

Be mad at Trump for saying it, at Patel for acting like an unprofessional frat boy and at both of them for putting the team in an untenable position. But stop the distractions, and celebrate one of the greatest victories in American sports.3/3
