Ministers @taulantballa @XSvecla today co-chaired with Stuart Skeates, Director-General @homeoffice, the latest regular meeting of our Joint Oversight Committee and agreed how the UK, Albania and Kosovo will do more together to tackle irregular migration and smash the gangs.

Very saddened to learn today oof the passing of Ismail Kadare, one of Albania’s greatest modern writers. I have enjoyed reading his books immensely and they have taught me a great deal about Albania’s culture, historic challenges and people. My thoughts are with his family.

41 years’ of service have been recognised as Lt Col (Retd) Sulle Alhaji inspected the troop named after him at the Army Training Centre Pirbright.
Alhaji Troop were on parade for the first time as they passed out from recruit training.
