Sufi Darvesh Mahasangamam 2026 and The Nasha Mukth Yuva for Viksit Bharat, held to commemorate the great Sufi master Syed P.S.K Thangal, took place at Nalaam Mile Hidayath Nagari in Erumeli Koovappally.
The program started with lighting the ceremonial lamp which was jointly lit by Mansoor Khan, Syed Ibrahim Abdullah Koya Jifri Thangal, Daulat Khan, Swami Krishnananda Saraswati Maharaj, Darshan Aher, Swami Ananda Chaitanya Perinad, Kanjirappally MLA Shri Sebastian, Nizamuddin J Erumeli, and others. The event commenced with the National Anthem, followed by a devotional song rendered by Bushra on stage.

#MauliyatCommittee #Marqas_E_Ajmer together held the program. The Kerala chapter’s team comprised 14 district office bearers who attended the program along with the central team of the Sufi Islamic Board & Maulaiyat Committee, Marqaz E Ajmer.
In the conference presided over by Sufi Islamic Board President Syed Ibrahim Abdullah Koya Jifri Thangal, General Secretary P.M.A. Salam Musliyar delivered the welcome address. He recalled the contributions of Syed P.S.K Thangal and emphasized the need to build a collective effort in our national society that transcends caste and religious divides.
National President sib Mansoor Khan inaugurated the conference. In his inaugural address, he stated that the formation of a Bhakti-Sufi movement in India, prioritizing human harmony and safeguarding the nation's security, is a vital need for today's generation. He requested Swami Ananda Chaitanya Perinad to sign MOU of peace with Sufi Islamic Board, so that the differences of two major communities can be ammicably settled.
Kanjirappally MLA Shri Sebastian attended as the chief guest. He said “though I’m a christian, I still follow sufism and have been attached to it since many years”. National General Secretary Darshan Aher (Mumbai), Tauseef Abbas (Maharashtra), Swami Sadhu Krishnananda Saraswati Maharaj, Swami Ananda Chaitanya Perinad, Panchayat President Suni Pathiyal, Syed Munawar Ali Shah (Mysore), Daulat Khan (Bangalore), Nizamuddin J. Erumeli, Umar Kalanthode, DCC Secretary Prakash, Abdul Aziz Karunalayam, Saifuddin Alappuzha, Arif Kuwait, Mujeeb Chavakkad, Mohammed Rafeeq Mangalore, Salam Kappally, and others addressed the gathering. The program underscored the necessity for Sufism and the Bhakti movement to progress together, alongside a declaration that “Sufism represents the true Islamic system”.
As part of the Nasha Mukt (drug-free) program, Kanjirappally Deputy Tahsildar P.V. Prasad administered an anti-drug pledge and conducted an awareness session. Umar Kalanthode delivered the vote of thanks for the conference.
Subsequently, a Sufi dance led by Bismi Raufa and a women's empowerment awareness dance performed by Bushrabi, Jasmine, and others were staged. Concluding the array of cultural performances, a captivating Qawwali was presented by the Markaze Panjothan team, led by Tauseef Abbas and his troupe. A musical evening featuring Binduja, Amrutha, Aslam Alappuzha, and Adarsh Chittar added further charm to the event.
During the charitable drive, kits containing 10 kg of rice were distributed to 700 token-holding families, school kits were given to hundreds of selected children, and prizes were awarded to lucky draw winners. Nizamuddin J Erumeli, Abdullah Kottayam, and others spearheaded these initiatives. It was unanimously decided by all the dignitaries attending the program that they will carry on spreading the message of peace, harmony, and inclusive living as far as they can in the near future too.
