One of two wildlife ponds that are being dug here this week, with several more to follow. Given the rainfall we’ve had of late they are almost full already! Might look like a muddy mess just now, but give it a couple of months and they will begin teeming with life.

Huge thanks to our friends and #volunteers we have now planted over 17,500 saplings since we first started about 14 months ago. This is an important intervention in a #rewilding plan to kick start the diversity in the fields. We can’t wait to see how this landscape evolves.

It was great to host you @AliDriverUK and share plans!
Very interesting visit to Sunart Fields at #WhaleyBridge. One of the biodiversity net gain pilot sites. 120 acre farm with a blend of rewilding and nature-friendly farming. Valuable model for small medium farms interested in BNG funding. sunartfields.com/

Just completed the first draft of our @RewildingB response to the government response to the Glover Review of Protected Landscapes (yes I know 😂) and now I’m passing through the @peakdistrict National Park. No prizes for guessing what our response will focus on.

Wonderful to have a visit from some of the most knowledgeable tree people in Derbyshire, who are out on a daily basis tending to, planting and protecting our trees. They loved our wild, ‘messy’ woodland and so do we, it’s how nature intended it to be. @Derbyshirecc #trees
