Replying to @superchris
@superchris is back from Wasm I/O in Barcelona, Spain! It was a fantastic experience, and while it was a conference trip, there was still time to take in the sights. We hope attendees enjoyed "Supervising your WebAssembly Components with Wasmex" while they were there.

In this January 2025 edition of @cincinnatirb, @superchris takes an informal look at the intersection of @webassembly, #Ruby, and the ruby.wasm project, compiling ruby into #webassembly, and wasmtime-rb, which lets you call webassembly code in from ruby. youtu.be/y6yNi0Je2tE?si=-Y4e…

Haven't been over here for a minute, but just stopped by to share my son's music video. I know I am biased and all, but it really is very good: youtube.com/watch?v=mVaoi_LF…

I know we are not a swing state (Ohio) but that doesn't mean we don't get to vote to save democracy. Vote yes on issue 1 yall! For the love of God and all that is holy, take politicians out of redistricting

I've been working on big @elixirlang projects (two $1B companies), and not once have I ever felt pain around ecosystem. AI is really good at writing it. I've also been hiring a lot of devs recently and have found many excellent @elixirlang devs (or really good devs willing to learn it). There is zero reason not to use @elixirlang. It's irresponsible not to.

seeing a lot of posts heralding the death of junior devs yeah, OK, so where to people think senior devs come from?

If you've worked in @elixirlang & left it or your company has resisted adopting it I'd like to chat with you on why. I'm collecting data on this topic in private chats, provided I can use the data points without divulging company/people names. DMs are open. #myelixirstatus

I feel like I’m on an island out here, but I really don’t like React. I don’t like how it works conceptually, I don’t like what the syntax and code looks like, and I don’t like how you can tell it was made to abstract away the browser.
