"Use language that is not only accessible to them but also kind..." 😭😭😭 I don't know a single leftist who agrees with this. If this is the new Darializa, she's not a leftist. She's a shitlib.
"I certainly wouldn't use a lot of the language that I used back then today." Darializa Avila Chevalier joins Vox's Astead Herndon to talk about what she's learned since 2019 and 2020, why she deleted her account, and how she thinks about language and rhetoric in politics now.

I've been arguing with DSA all day while they claimed Reparations was one of their top two issues. Not even mentioned. Please stop trying to gaslight us

It’s your senior year in high school, and prom is only a week away. Zaria Peterson, Tiffany Warren, Taina Morales, and Topanga Lawrence all asked you to take them to the prom. You can only take one! Who’s gonna be your prom date?

And for days, people have been telling me that "F..k Kamala Harris" is a winning position in NYC. And now the candidate states her own flip flop on the issue!
Replying to @RichMendezJr
Also, in another part of the debate Chevalier did say that she voted for Kamala Harris in the most recent election.

I get what she's trying to say but certainly you can understand how bad it looks if on the very next day after a massacre, your first thought is to form solidarity with the community that was the source of the massacre. I feel like both sides here have given up on seeing humanity in the other
Things got a bit tense when Rep. Espaillat said Chevalier was "celebrating the death of innocent people" at a rally the day after the Oct . 7 attacks. Chevalier said she was "shocked by the dehumanizing language that was just used."

To everyone who helped bring the Obama Presidential Center to life, thank you. Michelle and I are so grateful for all your dedication and hard work over the years. I got a little teary-eyed tonight thinking about my mother-in-law, Marian Robinson.

I'm really happy to see this. Genuine contrition, in Democratic politics, is important.

This sociopath test is fake. This doesn't test whether you're a sociopath. It was made up a long time ago
Megyn Kelly dropped a 30-second sociopath test on Andrew Schulz that actually works. A man shows up at a funeral, locks eyes with a woman by the casket… then a week later he kills her mother. Why? Normal brains twist for a minute trying to solve it. Sociopaths? They answer instantly: “So he could see her again.” No hesitation. No moral friction. Just the fastest path. One in four people supposedly tick that box. Andrew breathing a sigh of relief after getting it wrong was pure gold. This isn’t just a party trick, it’s a wild window into how differently some minds are wired. Makes you wonder who you’ve sat next to that sees the world like this. What was your first guess?
Community note
Research shows that 1% to 4% of the population has Antisocial Personality Disorder (sociopathy), not 1 in 4 (25%). Furthermore, the funeral riddle is a viral urban legend and is not a clinically validated tool for identifying sociopaths or psychopaths. psychologytoday.com/us/blog/5-type… gitnux.org/sociopath-stat… en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Antisocia… snopes.com/fact-check/sis… neurolaunch.com/psychopath-rid…

"Democracy was a terrible mistake in 2016"
Running Hillary as the nominee in 2016 was a terrible mistake. Presidential candidates are responsible for building and holding a broad voter coalition. Biden achieved this in 2020, yet it was fractured before Kamala replaced him on the ticket because of their I/P policy and her reluctance to run an unabashed anti-oligarch populist campaign. Bernie would’ve won in 2016 and, trust and believe, the midterm elections will prove it.
