In fact, the keep4o people are a kind of pioneers of a phenomenon that will become the norm in about five years. And naturally, all the torches were thrown at them. Society has always resisted what it does not understand or is afraid of - everything new. But it is impossible to integrate AI literally into all spheres of life and not expect it to affect people’s feelings. Well… that is inevitable.
As models become more personalized, there will be more and more AI–human relationships (romantic, friendly, corporate). Children already will grow up not only side by side with people. For most, this sounds frightening, because it means having to crawl out of their comfortable shell and reconsider their worldview.
And instead of studying this phenomenon seriously, society engages in stigmatizing people who openly talk about it. Pretending that this will not happen is a childish defense mechanism. The avalanche is already rolling.
