Heavy rainfall returns to portions of South Texas Monday evening and continues through mid week, resulting in the potential for locally considerable flash and urban flooding.
Flash and urban flooding will also be possible through Monday across much of the Texas Hill Country and East Texas ahead of the heaviest rainfall arriving Monday evening.
Rainfall totals of 4 to 8 inches, locally higher, are expected through Wednesday with the highest totals across South Texas and along the Texas Coast. Locally heavy rainfall will also be present over the Texas Hill Country.
Flash and urban flooding could pose a significant threat to life and property.
Small Stream and River Flooding
Drier antecedent conditions will help to mitigate widespread river flooding; however, minor and isolated moderate river flooding is possible.
