Major step forward in the New Languages for NLP project: a beautiful visualization, created by @thatbudakguy, based on those digitized parts of the Dai Nihon shi that I annotated. Viz inspired by @OliviaFVane for @LibCrowds @nlp_new @PrincetonDH @DARIAHeu

i use twitter exclusively on mobile firefox because the ux is beautifully, transcendentally bad. you can scroll past the timeline into empty black space. buttons squirm under your finger and redirect the touch target. it's incredible

CSS is beautiful. CSS is powerful. Just the way it is. Put the time and effort in and you may "get" CSS _at least enough_ to not hate on it. Sincerely, A front-of-the-front-end developer.

Today we finished active development on @ShakesCoProject which we’ve been working on since 2014, two years before I even got to Princeton. It was part of the founding of @PrincetonDH by @mmvty . I didn’t expect to be so emotional but I am. (1/)

this has me thinking about modeling item circulation as a state machine, and then using that to detect abnormal patterns or missing data in library records from @ShakesCoProject
A question about how to label a sort option for book search & browse in @ShakesCoProject has led to a fascinating conversation with @GissooDor @thatbudakguy @Shxperienced about whether "circulation" is a countable thing or an abstract notion of frequency.
