I went to Dick’s Sporting Goods looking for badminton birds. I asked one of the employees, because I couldn’t find rackets or birds. The employee did not know what badminton was. I mean, literally. I had to spell out the word so they could look it up on the website. I got an even weirder look when I said all I needed were the “shuttlecocks”. Pickleball has literally extinguished badminton. They were literally selling Pickleball rackets for $300! Silver lining: I got a blaster box of the new UFC cards. Check out what we pulled!

This is what I don’t understand: The rope that was on the ground, even assuming it was supposed to be attached to her, is not bungee rope. I doubt it would be static line, so I presume it might be standard rock climbing rope, which has an elasticity of 6-10%. What was the plan? To have her do a canyon swing of sorts? Unless I’m missing the bungee portion of the rope. At first I thought this story had to be fake. But now it’s been confirmed, and multiple video angles released. I still don’t understand what the plan was, even assuming it was executed without criminal murderous negligence. The workers are certainly to blame. But one thing you do whenever doing these things is double check yourself, and get the workers to explain to you exactly how you are attached, and all systems of redundancy.

If wealth were a sum zero game, then jealousy/animosity towards @elonmusk would be understandable, though still misdirected. Elon’s wealth is not directly proportionate, or even correlative to anyone’s impoverishment. In fact, quite the contrary. Through his wealth, he has made other people extremely wealthy. That said, everyone has the opportunity to create their own wealth. And if you think you need to make it to $1 trillion, or compare yourself to someone who has, you will never be happy - even if you somehow become wealthy. Find what you love. Do it for a living if you can. If you can’t do it for a living, do it as a passion. You may just discover how passion finds away. And to quote Max Ehrmann: “If you compare yourself with others, you may become vain or bitter; for always there will be greater and lesser persons than yourself. Enjoy your achievements as well as your plans”.
