oilmageddon observations pt. 2:
- lots more people on public transport
- lime bikes are everywhere and actually being used
- no mainstream discussions about hoarding food
- life is still mostly normal
- people say they expect rationing to start post-easter break
a few observations from oilmageddon in Australia:
- there's definitely less traffic on the road
- gyms are more packed (cheaper than going out)
- no one is freaking out covid style... yet
- lots of people casually discussing stockpiling food
- no major price hikes yet on eating out
- the majority of cars i see driving are tradies or company cars (probably expensing petrol)
- the city is still packed
