Trillionaires are a byproduct of the same economy that allows me to live well and have a healthy 401k. People on SNAP are why I pay out thousands a month in taxes, health/car insurance, and a mortgage on a house in a "nice" neighborhood with "good schools".
Yes it is people on SNAP ruining my life. Poor people are the ones committing crime that make my life unpleasant.

Something you quickly ascertain observing “billionaire discourse” (and other such topics) is that these people sincerely believe that money *is the economy* and is not just a transaction mechanism lying on top of the actual goods and services that make up an economy.
in nature if a monkey hoarded 1 trillion bananas the other monkeys would beat that monkey to death and take his bananas

One of the funniest things about people devoted to the idea a quality education can make childrens' brains take a quantum leap is they will then also make the AP kids read House on Mango street instead of Borges or Marquez and Things Fall Apart instead of literally anything else

Fun fact: @GavinNewsom has budgeted >300% more tax dollars for a nonexistent California rail system than SpaceX raised in private capital in its entire history as a private company.
Americans are struggling to pay for groceries and gas while Elon Musk becomes a TRILLIONAIRE. When the federal government is for sale, the rich get richer and everyone else gets shafted. The system is rigged.

The sheer scale of a trillion dollars can be hard to comprehend. Let me put it in perspective. You would be able to buy 42 miles of high speed rail in California with that much money.
The sheer scale of a trillion dollars can be hard to comprehend. Let me put it in perspective. You would have to earn a dollar a year for a trillion years straight to have that much money.

That the definition of "eminent" includes "award-winning journo" is the funniest part of this hysterical thing by a mile btw.
Gifted and Talented, or G&T, programs have long been a perennial subject of debate, particularly in New York City, where it has bedeviled mayors for years. Some parents have already washed their hands of the whole G&T business, refusing to participate in what they view as a corrupt system of segregation. But countless others still place significant stock in the G&T designation and what it offers and are comfortable relying on cognitive testing, should it be required, to determine whether a child qualifies. “When your intelligence is the foundation of your self-perception, failing to achieve feels like soul death,” writes Katie Arnold-Ratliff. But if the limited amount of information we have about gifted kids long-term is any indication, most lead, at best, ordinary lives of modest accomplishment. A 35-year study of 677 gifted children found that by age 50, only 12.3 percent had reached a level of “eminence,” defined as “full professors … Fortune 500 executives … judges and lawyers, leaders in biomedicine, award-winning journalists and writers.” This means 88 percent never did. Arnold-Ratliff digs into the myth of the gifted child, and how our notions of intelligence may be inherently flawed: nymag.visitlink.me/9mc2Wh
Community note
The study defines eminence as accomplishing "something rare" like becoming full professors at research universities or Fortune 500 executives; 12.3% of gifted participants achieved it, far exceeding general population rates. pmc.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/articles/PMC64…

Typically when judging predictions, the further the probability you assign to an event is from what actually happened, the worse your prediction is judged. For instance, if you say a coin flip is 50/50 and it comes up heads, nbd. If you say it's 100% tails and it comes up heads..

Today is the final day of school for many kids around the country, so please remember one important thing over summer break: Teachers deserve less.

This is why it's so important to Actually Be Racist. Indians and Africans are not human. "Full stop." You have to put your foot down there, or else you leave yourself vulnerable to this kind of rhetoric that appeals to "human dignity," "human rights," etc No. Indians are not human. Africans are not human. They are separate, distinct life forms from us and they occupy a lower tier of moral worth. That is the truth and we have to be honest and insist on it and stand by it or we will never be able to deal with them as an existential problem (3.5 billion of these life forms, btw) Even most "racists" don't actually "get" racism. "Racism" is not a utilitarian calculation along the lines of: "blacks and Indians produce lower economic output and are culturally different from us, therefore they're undesirable." Racism is: blacks and Indians are intrinsically, biologically 'Not Us,' and so they're inferior and hostile insofar as they pose a threat to us and our interests You have to Actually Be Racist. There's no shortcut or way to squeamishly avoid it. There are 3.5 billion of these things (and that's *only* subcons and blacks) and their numbers increase every day
The drama of migration must serve as an appeal to the conscience of the nations of origin of the migrants, which must establish conditions for peace, justice and development. It is also an appeal to the conscience of the transit nations, which are called to protect the vulnerable and not leave them in the hands of criminal networks. It is likewise an appeal to the conscience of Europe, which cannot claim to uphold human dignity while growing accustomed to the Mediterranean and the Atlantic becoming unmarked graves, as well as that of the international community, which is called to effective and persevering cooperation. #ApostolicJourney vatican.va/content/leo-xiv/e…

Cute video of the day: An American photographer filmed a wolf begging for food from a grizzly. The gray wolf saw the meat and in an instant turned into a playful puppy begging for a piece.

Amazon is a fantastic litmus test because it’s the single clearest example in existence of a capitalist doing an incredible and immense service to humanity and leftists still invent bunk reasons to hate it.
No billionaire actually built a billion dollar company through hard work. Apple’s cofounder said the garage story is a myth. Bezos got a $300k investment from his parents. Google’s founders were Stanford grads with access to venture capital. Stop promoting the bootstrap ideology.

Firebombing is part and parcel of life in the big city and it's important that the Muslim community doesn't look back in anger. Backlash against peaceful Englishmen will not be tolerated.
🚨NEW: An Imam's home was "fire-bombed" in the early hours of this morning in Bolton, England, as widespread unrest continues over attempted beheading by Sudanese migrant Hadi Alodid [@itvnews]

Violence is always the answer.
Jun 10
“Violence is not the answer” is just another Boomerism born out of a time in which they lived in unprecedented peace and tranquility because of the violence committed by their parents and grandparents Violence is the answer so long as we live among violent third world savages
