Son (19) in full time employment, decent wage & buying 1st car, needs £5k loan - if this is the face that “UK finance” wants to show young people there is no hope. Printing 20 page documents at home? Who does that in 2025? A 19 year old with bank statements? Total farce!!

So his DBS….DBS!!!! Isn’t a valid form of address over and above the driving licence and passport we’ve already provided. About to tell the lot of them to stuff it and he will walk to work!!! He doesn’t get bank statements, he lives at home so council tax doc is a no… ffs 🤬🤬

Now scanning the printed pages… I’m sure everyone has a printer and scanner at home, no way that is a barrier to credit! Beyond livid… and tired I’ve been on a night shift. How do we expect young people to join society if we make it sooo hard?
