#CISA’s crucial work defends against foreign malign influence in US elections. Weakening this agency does nothing to protect Americans’ free speech or national security. It will only make it easier for foreign governments to disrupt and undermine our #elections in the future.

By my count, 22 states are still doing their initial count of votes, although some are closer to being done than others. (e.g., CA is 86% done; RI is 98% done). Until then, treat turnout analyses carefully.

A viral Instagram video purports to show a “ballot mule” in Lincoln, Nebraska. Todd Wiltgen, the election commissioner of Lancaster County, where the video was taken, said the video shows a first-time voter dropping off a ballot, not a “ballot mule.” politifact.com/factchecks/20…

N. AZ - Coconino County's elections director just called me. They are seeing some pretty widespread confusion among voters who have been told they can vote a federal-only ballot in-person in Coconino, even when they are registered in a different county. That's not true.

All voters: Nobody is calling you today and asking for your date of birth or driver’s license # or other personal information in order to process your ballot. We have gotten reports of these sorts of calls and want to warn you not to give out your personal information! 1/

If you vote today thank the election workers. Often your interaction will be with a volunteer at a polling place who may be paid a pittance. Their service means we can have a democracy

This report is incorrect and not supported at all by the facts. Non-citizens are not eligible to vote in Philadelphia. A mail ballot provided by our office can only be counted after the voter verifies their ID, typically with a social security number or driver’s license number.

If you're an eligible voter and you haven't voted yet, VOTE TODAY. Go to vote.gov to find your local election website and where to vote. If you have a mail ballot you haven't returned yet, do NOT put it in the mail! Return it to an election office or drop box, or bring it to your voting site and surrender your ballot and vote in person!

Today, hundreds of thousands of election workers and millions of volunteers will be working a very long day to ensure that every American citizen has a voice in who governs them. Join me in thanking them for their service. No election is perfect, but they do a great job ensuring our elections are secure, your vote will be safe and convenient, and your vote will matter. Even if it's close, we will know who accurately won, thanks to our election workers!

Important joint ODNI, FBI, and CISA Statement within the last hour: “Since our statement on Friday, the IC has been observing foreign adversaries, particularly Russia, conducting additional influence operations intended to undermine public confidence in the integrity of U.S. elections and stoke divisions among Americans. The IC expects these activities will intensify through election day and in the coming weeks, and that foreign influence narratives will focus on swing states. Russia is the most active threat.“
