Beautiful progress on the Indian Lake ‘76 Boathouse! 🇺🇸 This weekend, young artist Shelby Milnes (granddaughter of longtime Indian Lake resident Gordon Milnes) brought new life to the historic ‘76 American flag with a fresh coat of paint. Fifty years ago, Jimmy Bogard originally painted this flag on the boathouse to honor America’s Bicentennial and our veterans. We know he’d be smiling down with pride today. A wonderful tribute to our shared history and community spirit. Happy 250th Birthday, America! 🎉❤️

This summer @AnitaBMcBride & bought the Bogard cottage on Indian Lake in Vicksburg MI. In 1976 Jim Bogard painted the '76 American flag on his boathouse (one of the oldest remaining structures on the lake) to honor America's Bicentennial & our veterans. We are determined to restore this iconic landmark in time for America's 250th birthday in 2026.
