The Oklahoma Republican party passed a "censure" resolution condemning their GOP Sen. James Lankford for the "crime" of ignoring Trump's orders and working with Democrats on a bill that would dramatically increase security at the border:
"Until Senator Lankford ceases from these actions, the Oklahoma Republican Party will cease all support for him,” the resolution states
It's a cult.

A few extraordinary things:
1) McConnell did away with the Ukraine-border construct he and other Republicans had clung to for months.
2) Backing away from this is McConnell's acknowledgement that Trump runs the party.
3) What now happens to aid for Kyiv.
4) McConnell has now shifted blame on the border to Trump. And Democrats get a very useful talking point -- Republicans walked away from a bipartisan deal that could've helped stem the crisis at the border.
