IN-SPACe has picked @astrobase_space, @sat_sure and @tm2space under their Technology Adoption Fund. Why these three? Because they are building epic stuff. Astrobase is the first and only company in India to work on developing an FFSC engine. And this is a huge deal. Because SpaceX is the only company in the world to have successfully flown an FFSC engine. This is the same engine that's powering SpaceX's massive Starship. Then you have SatSure. They are building what they call an Earth Intelligence company. They are using raw satellite data, turning it into meaningful insights and using that to create products that can be used by companies on Earth to make real business decision. In fact, one of their more interesting product is SatSource - which basically captures detailed data about cropping patterns, land productivity and risk classification in a region. And this data is then checked against land records - to give the banks the ability to build an alternate credit score for farmers in that region. Banks then use that information to provide loans to farmers. Now, SatSure is building "Dhaarini" - their own foudnational AI model. By training their AI model on India-specific data - they will be able to create more finetuned AI products for Indian businesses. Then there is TakeMe2Space. And they are trying to build data centers in space. But under the Technology Adoption Fund, they are working on building an indigenous AI-powered star tracker system for satellites called StarSense. This is basically a smart camera on a satellite - which looks at the stars in space and figures out exactly which direction is the satellite facing. It essentially acts as the compass for the satellites. And every satellite that needs to take accurate pictures and send communication through space - this star tracker system and its accuracy becomes critical.

Space just became Indiaโ€™s newest data center real estate. ๐Ÿ›ฐ๐Ÿ› ๏ธ Indian startups are now building orbital AI compute powered by unlimited solar and vacuum cooling. The players in the arena: โ€ข Pixxel Sarvam AI: Building 'Pathfinder', a 200kg satellite with data-center-grade GPUs. Pixxel handles satellite design/launch/ops; Sarvam powers sovereign AI training & inference real-time hyperspectral processing. Launch: Q4 2026. โ€ข Agnikul Cosmos NeevCloud: Turning rocket upper stages into LEO AI platforms. Cost-effective, rapid deployment for inference. POC 2026, commercial 2027. โ€ข TakeMe2Space: Developing OrbitLab constellation aiming for 50kW orbital data centers with massive storage for AI/EO. Why it matters: 1. Sovereign AI independent of foreign clouds. 2. Real-time insights for defence, agri, disaster response. 3. Drastically lower energy/water footprint. 4. Positions India in the global orbital compute race. Challenges remain: launch costs, thermal mgmt, economics. But that's true for all moonshots! India has just put its stakes in the orbit. @chandrarsrikant @AihikS @debanganaghosh4 moneycontrol.com/news/busineโ€ฆ

Had an interesting interaction with the amazing team at @tm2space, led by @rokrsa, where I was invited for a small motivational and interactive session with the team. These are the kind of people quietly building futuristic infrastructure around orbital computing, AI-enabled satellites, and literally taking data centres to space. What stood out to me was the passion, curiosity, and long-term thinking within the team. We had some great discussions around storytelling, visibility, internet culture, community building, and why even deep-tech companies eventually need people to emotionally understand the mission they are building towards. One thought that stayed with me: Great technology builds the future, but great communication helps the world notice it. Also, apologies for the image quality. Captured entirely on our revolutionary Apple iPhone 1 in cinematic 480p. Wishing the entire team the very best for the exciting journey ahead. While most of us are busy solving problems on this planet, they're already thinking beyond it.

SIA-India welcomes TakeMe2Space as our valued #Pioneer_Member! TakeMe2Space is building hashtag#Indiaโ€™s #first #data #centre in space through its #MOI constellation- #six satellites with #onboard compute designed to process Earth Observation data directly in orbit. By transmitting #intelligence instead of raw data, the platform aims to significantly #reduce #latency, #costs, and #downlink #bottlenecks- delivering insights in minutes, not hours. Following a successful orbital demonstration in 2024, MOI-1A, the first node powered by #onboard #AI compute and a multi-spectral #imager, is scheduled for launch in October 2026. The full constellation is expected to deliver daily #global coverage with real-time #orbital compute capabilities by Q4 2027. With innovations in #onboard AIย processing, orbital compute #infrastructure, and #radiation #protection technologies, TakeMe2Space is advancing a new model for cost-effective, time-efficient, and sustainable space-based intelligence. ๐Ÿ”— tm2.space Building Indiaโ€™s first data centre in space. @tm2space | @AnilPra28432993 | @RGambhir | @heysudipta | @rokrsa

Satellitesโ€ฆ cheaper than a pizza? ๐Ÿ•๐Ÿ›ฐ๏ธ Sounds impossible, right? But itโ€™s happening - and itโ€™s being built right here in India. I spoke to Ronak Kumar Samantray (@rokrsa), Founder of TakeMe2Space (@tm2space), on @OperatorStartup about how he went from building satellites in his living room to making space access open to everyone - students, startups, and even hobbyists. In this conversation, we cover: ๐Ÿช Why the Moon & Mars are humanityโ€™s next stepping stones ๐Ÿ’ก How satellite launch costs have dropped lower than ever ๐Ÿ›ฐ๏ธ What CubeSats are and why they could change industries ๐Ÿš€ How Orbit View lets anyone capture photos from space ๐Ÿ’ป Why Orbit Lab makes coding for satellites as easy as coding for apps ๐Ÿ“‰ Why you donโ€™t need billions or even a space degree to build in this sector โ€ฆand more from the man on a mission to democratize access to space for the world. Itโ€™s the kind of Atmanirbhar Bharat story that shows whatโ€™s possible when we set bolder ambitions for a Viksit Bharat, not just making in India, but launching from India to the world.
