One of the important improvements under Dyche has been Everton’s pressing/timed counterpressing moments. This is a prime location for Everton to win the ball back, but Man United where able to play through a high block that was very easy to unravel.

efcwblog.medium.com/more-agg… The first article written on my new EFCW medium! This first one is relatively short but goes over how much value @AggieBjones could give Everton over the course of the WSL season. These will be regular going forward and cover a range of EFCW based topics.

New article, I discuss: - West Ham’s transition success, off limited Everton possession. - Iwobi -> curved Richarlison runs create threat. - Narrow 4-1-4-1 left Kenny and Keane isolated, with Benhrama and Antonio. - Stress free, first gear West Ham. betweentheposts.net/west-ham…

New article for you all, I discuss: - Everton’s 4-5-1 and the problems it caused (forced City out, vdB vs KdB.) - City problems on the ball and how halfspace runs solved them. - Wasted Everton potential on transition: super flat in 2nd phase. betweentheposts.net/everton-…

10 game rolling average of Everton's Expected Goal Difference since 2018/19 We aren't a good team, and haven't been for a long time (other than about two months under Marco Silva and another two under Carlo Ancelotti)... not that you needed me or this to tell you that

Understandably overlooked due to the goals, noteworthy build-up & 30-pass move but Everton were fairly brilliant defensively on Saturday. 4 shots, 0.12 NPxG conceded. 433 press structure perfectly nullified Brentford's 343 from GKs, narrow 5v5 press in-play gave right balance

After Rafael Benitez was sacked by Everton, the Spaniard released a statement, claiming that his task had been made harder by the “financial situation”, so here’s a quick look at the club’s challenges (in advance of the publication of the 2020/21 accounts) #EFC

4 examples from the 1st half showing why this formation does not work. I know the 541 formation is supposed to transition to a 343/325 during attack. Either way your left with a 2 man midfield, who if there not controlling the play have to be able to control the space. #EFC

The #27years campaign doesn’t claim to speak for all Blues. We just express our views based on our experiences as fans and in daily life. If you choose to support us, great. If you don’t that’s fine. We all just want a better Football Club. #HowLongIsTooLong

Nice insight re: the state of Benitez's Everton this season, and just how bad they are. First image ~ at even game state & no penalties. Quite clearly the worst team in the league. Second image ~ when trailing by one or two goals. Only then do Everton appear even slightly good
