Call their bluff.
Close all local UK operations, so that no employees or corporate officers can be arrested.
Refuse to comply, and dare them to geoblock. Without Google and Apple, the UK economy would probably collapse. It isn't so much that those services are crucial (although they are), it's that Britain is already on the fiscal brink and all it would really take is a little push.
I'm sure blocking the Internet would go over really well with the British people, too.

People making the point that this is about creeping authoritarianism aimed at adults, which it is, but the ongoing crusade for "parent's rights" e.g. to reaffirm that children are the property of their parents and deserve zero autonomy whatsoever is also a crucial aspect of this.

I used to play Xbox 360 late into the morning when I was in school. My parents found out and started turning the router off at night.

Parents are tech illiterate, not technical experts and donโt get to decide what the entire country must endure.

YUP. When i asked a conservative parent about this with similar US bills, they firmly agreed with the ban until I mentioned the ID verification part. Their response turned to hell no, as it will with most people anywhere in the world.
