Pauline Hanson, One Nation, Tony Abbott, Gina Rinehart and Lachlan Murdoch are spreading a virus across Australia called Trumpism. There is no vaccination. But we must all ensure it does not take hold or what we know and treasure as Australia and being Australian will be stolen.

What a beautiful, stunning, brilliant example of a human. He spent most of his life trying to make others' lives, and the world, better. The world is a better place for him being here Travel well, good sir abc.net.au/news/2026-06-08/p…

The Victorian Liberals might consider releasing official guidance on which forms of misogyny they endorse and which slurs against disabled people they're comfortable with. Asking for the whole state.

Loved this podcast with Grace Tame. Someone should let Charlie Pickering know there's nothing problematic about Grace sharing her lived experience of autism and helping educate people about it. youtu.be/k9r7FVJhH04?si=KgRQ…

This song deserves to be played in the World cup. In fact, it should be the anthem.

'Brereton departs 3 years into a 5 year term, having built an organisation with over 200 employees and a budget of more than $60M per year, but with a legacy of no significant corruption findings, a serious public trust deficit and a pile of tainted Defence investigations' Great article and great research here from @FahyMichelle @NickFeik and Liz Minter on the disaster that is the #NACC crikey.com.au/2026/05/28/nac…

#afternoonbriefing rather than pick up on the massive & understandable frustration shown by the opp today, typified by Taylor’s use of foul language, Karvelas chooses to pick up the pettiness of the act. This is just a ridiculously tabloid approach to serious political issues.

CRYING REAL ESTATE AGENT - These boots were made for crying in: Budget tax realities, less the bullshit. Here’s a clip from the ABC with a real estate agent whinging about the budget tax changes. So, to set the record straight, let’s imagine: →A lady, a real estate agent (not unlike the one in the video), and →Me, earning $300,000 a year on a salary, no trusts, no loopholes. Let’s look at the reality of what this ABC report’s 60s-boots real estate lady says: She says: "It’s cracking down on small business owners and the poor people that are trying to support the country to employ people." Translation: "Wah, the government wants me to pay tax like everyone else!" Here’s what she doesn’t say: She uses trusts to split her income, so she pays a lower marginal rate on the total income. →Two of her kids, 17 years old, on an overseas holiday, not working in the business, receive a portion of that income. So, she pays less tax than a normal wage earner, like me on $300k at an effective rate of 47%. →She’s whinging because the tax on her trust distributions might go up to 30%. Cry me a river. And what about her BMW? Paid for by the company, so it’s a pre-tax deduction, reducing her company’s taxable income. Me? I pay for my fucking car out of after-tax income. No deduction for me. She then says: "I have to now sit back as a business owner and ask myself, do I want my children to come in and take over my business? I mean, what am I in business for if I'm paying more tax?" Reality check: You’re not paying more tax than the average salary earner. You’re in business to make a lot more money and use trusts to avoid paying the same taxes as everyone else. You still have a business to sell if you’re any good at it. The rest of us don’t get to write off our cars or split our income with our kids on holiday. Stop whinging. Bottom line: If you don’t like paying tax, maybe don’t earn so much. Or, here’s a novel idea; pay your fair share like the rest. "These boots were made for walking, all over the average taxpayer" Off you fuck. _____________ Notes about our example in replies > *For transparency, the writer owns and has owned multiple businesses, used trusts and knows THE REALITY of this. We understand the ACTUAL reality rather than the myths and lying hype.

My latest article for the @shot_au on the Pauline Hanson grift machine "Pauline Hanson – who thinks the Murray Darling Basin Plan is the name of her plumber Murray’s work schedule – now wants you to believe she’s going to save them." . theshot.net.au/uncategorized…

Kohler was the standout panelist for facts, economics and housing reality. Maiden and Coorey are performative talking heads.
Just sublime watching Alan Kohler, calmly and rationally, completely debunk all the partisan nonsense. Kohler deals in facts, Maiden tabloid trash and Coorey is haunted by the demise of his beloved LNP. And ex-Sky Speers🙄😵🤪 #insiders #auspol

FFS @abcnews can you stop parroting "broken election promise" every single time you mention #budget2026 Every bulletin. Are you trying to cosplaying as Sky? It is seriously out of control. Read the room. Most people outside newsrooms and vested interests get it @ABCmediawatch
